It was awful the season we got promoted - very dodgy toilets and no alcohol thought Selhust was better maybe it was due to the atmosphere that particular game.

It’s more the look of the place. It has a really imposing facade, all that red brick.

I also like Stamford Bridge, I like the steep stands, makes it feel very tight and almost gladiatorial.

The new White Hart Lane is very impressive, I like the fact the toilets have individual urinals, never seen that at a football ground. I’ve stayed in hotels with worse bathrooms than the toilets at WHL. And I like the beer pumps that fill up from the bottom.

Villa Park, Bramall Lane, Craven Cottage.

All traditional grounds with a great atmosphere.

These for me too, although Spud’s place is a thing of beauty (shame it’s a pain to get to), particularly the enormous sweeping untiered stand behind the goal.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This is the sort of venue and facilities all football fans deserve to enjoy.

It is worth remembering just how far we've come from some of the deathtrap grounds of the 70s and 80s.

Spurs deserve enormous credit for raising the bar on British stadia and I am encouraged that Everton will continue this trend with their exciting dockland venture.

That’s my kind of ground, and yes it’s severely lacking in facilities compared to a modern football stadium. But so what?

Set in the middle of a residential area, loads of alternative places to eat and drink away from the ground. I actually go to watch a game of football, I couldn’t give a stuff for the quality of the food and drink served at a football ground, it’s not why I go to a game.

Obviously I’m a dying breed, even my bloody eldest, can’t go 90 minutes without stuffing his face with crap food.

When the new main stand is built, would you be interested in buying regular or premiums seats in it?

Imho it’s a game changer. Legroom (you’re very tall?), elbow room, concourses where there’s a bit of room.

Amex obviously but I too thought the Spurs stadium was fantastic. I’ve only been to 13 of the 20 - Goodison never gets a good press and we never get much there either - maybe next year!

Shame about their fans though. I went to watch Albion’s first game there towards the end of 2018/19 season - we lost 1-0. Yes, it is very impressive although the away bar/food area was cramped and what was on offer was poor.

After the game I was on the train back to Southampton and sat next to some Spurs fans. One of them asked me what I thought of their new gaff. I was complimentary about it overall but made my point about the away facilities. “We don’t give a shit about the away fans. They can all f*** off.” he said. So why bother asking me I thought.

I never get this observation on SJP.

I've been twice, and been up in the gods both times (the second time we were right up on the back row). The view is SPECTACULAR. High over the pitch, you can see everything, and with a wonderful backdrop that involves the Tyne Bridge. Superb.

Add in the fantastic city centre location, and you have the best stadium in the PL, IMO. Its awesome.

I will probably be the only person to pick Goodison, no doubt partly because I've never had to go in the away section, which is by repute the worst in the division. But the sense of tradition, the church and church hall in the corner, the terraced streets, the weird shape of the main stand, the Archibald Leitch architecture - when it goes, something will have disappeared from the top flight and will never come back.

Villa Park? I love going there but the oldest stand is the Witton Lane end which is 1970s. I'll they've tried to keep the theme going but most of VP is very recently built all things considered. Only the Stevenage Road stand at Fulham (and indeed the Cottage itself) can be considered 'traditional'. Goodison wins by a street on that score.

The view from the away end at Old Trafford is stunning. The stadium itself feels a bit tired though.

Very underwhelmed by the concourse and transport links at Spurs even though the bowl is magnificent.
