I bought only one newly release album this year. And I don't think its worth nominating, although it is good - its not Record of the Year.

Orbital - Blue Album.

Always realise I vote heavily for US based bands, so its been a pleasing year for Sussex, lets here it for Lucky Jim and the Hope of the States.

Has anyone heard SUFJAN STEVENS: Michigan (Rough Trade).
Its been nominated in virtually every best LP of the year poll I've read, so I was hoping someone could shed some light?

Yeah it's alright. Nu-folk. Can't shed too much light as i've only heard bits. Not groundbreaking, but occasionally lovely.

If i'd been asked this before I discovered the killers album I would have said Green Day American Idiot. But since I haven't stopped listening to Hot Fuss it has to be the Killers!

Without a shadow of a scintilla of a smidgeon of an iota of the tiniest doubt...

Loretta Lynn, "Van Lear Rose".

Women who are great-grandmothers just aren't supposed to sound this cool, surely...?

I was given a copy of Keane's latest a few weeks ago.

I'm happy to vote for that one!

Keane, Franz Ferdinand, Zutons, Razorlite are all great albums.

But for me has to be Streets - a grand don't come for free

The latest New Order one but that might have been 2003, Keane as second best, then Franz Ferdy.

It was 2001 (!)

The next New Order album is out on the 28th of March 05.

Well, that justs shows how hip and cool I am. Was good though.
