My favourite Derby game was when we played them in what is now the Championship a few years ago.
Freezing cold, absolutely pissing down, and then Kerry Mayo, of all people, scores an 89th minute winner.
Sums up what I love about Brighton.
If you meant the other kind of derby, then there's no contest. It has to be 'El Clasico' between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Not Derby games but a couple from the near continent that are always a bit on the risky side, Ajax v Feyernoord and Antwerp v Anderlecht, no love lost between any of their respective fans. At one of the Dutch games there was an arranged meeting between the two sets of fans some way from whichever ground the game was at, they proceeded to hurl bombs at each other.

Ajax is in Amsterdam, Feyernoord is Rotterdam...not sure of the exact distance but they aren't next door to each other.

Bristol Rovers V Bristol City always used to be a bit fiesty. It is the classic North v South of the city ruck, with the town centre bars & clubs right in the middle of the battle ground. Watched a few games in the 90's whilst at university and it was interesting to say the least!

i vaguely recall BHA vs portsmouth at t'golsstone, near the end of one seson, which popmey need to win, to go up (r into playoffs?)
i think we won, or drew (it was a LONG time ago!), and their fans decided to 'redecorate' the east terrace..before having a go at the north stand faithful.. BIG mistake!

I agree with the Millwall west ham thing.
back in the late 70's I remember hearing a radio report from the game at Upton park, it may have been radio London, and the game was so bad as every couple of minutes it was kicking off in the stands and the players ended up watching what was going on.
My mate who is a met officer recons the worst he has seen was Spurs v Arsenal in the early 80's and funnily enough Brentford vs Huddersfield a few years ago in teh playoff semi
I wa sthere and kept seing bloodied fans appearing but never saw any actual trouble, but the pub by teh chippie was turned over
