Last time I went to a match in Poland I found the coke bottles (glass ones), bits of stand being thrown at us and riot police intent of trialing their latest riot gear on us far more scary than a few chants from the fans....

there were some very bad hand gestures aswell if you know what i mean

The game I went to (Poland v England in 1999) was when the England fans having enough of getting showered with the stadium for storming the dividing fences, steaming into the Polish section, for the Poles to get out the way. England fans then try to return to their section and the riot police proceed to knock 7 shades of shite out of them.

i remember that game, looks scary. Lots of flairs and barriers etc. 0-0 i seem to remember and it got us 2nd place.

It always used to be, but in recent years the only way to get a ticket for the away end has been if you go on an official coach and you get your ticket given to you on the coach.

And rightly so, UB. I mean, what other method would a non-hooligan well-to-do supporter possibly use to travel to an away game?

0-0, David Batty got sent off. The tunnel was near the away end and he was heading for it whilst the England fans were trying to get into the Polish section. Batty gestured at the England fans to basically go over the fence.

Oh and 2 of our travelling party spent a night in a mental hospital.

The black country derby all the way:

Wolves v. West Brom (just because I live across the road from Molineux)

Have to say that it passed quite uneventfully this weekend apart from a few brick throwing incidents.

Al Wahda vs Al Ain

cue some ridiculous driving down the Corniche by locals in ther Porsche Cayennes either decked out in Burgundy (Al Wahda) or Lilac (Al Ain)

Way out west
Sheff Weds v Sheff Utd, went to the cup semi at Wembley in the early 90's, someone was killed after it, which was a bit of a bummer as it had been a really good game.

Mansfield v Chesterfield always seems to be iffy, but I believe that is more to do with the miners strike than football.

mansfield v doncaster tends to have the donny fans shouting scabs all the way through the game. until they get thrown out anyway. i like rotherham v donny, and donny v scunthorpe. both intresting days out.
their was some fighting in the rotherham end this weekend at donny. also some fighting in the town weekend before when scunny were here.
