With all the deserved hype surrounding Line of Duty, what is your favourite cop show.
I've always been partial to the Sweeney and Starsky and Hutch.

Morse, and Endeavour, neck and neck for me. Not cop shows in quite the way you mean perhaps, but excleent detective dramas nonetheless.

The Shield as far as serious police shows, but I love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as well.

Endeavour followed by Waking the Dead which should have never been cancelled. Am also partial to Brooklyn Nine Nine for a spot of afternoon silliness.

At the risk of showing myself to be the left leaning,Guardian reading, wet liberal with intellectual pretensions that I undoubtedly am, I'd say 'The Wire', but as it is so much more than a cop show, 'Rosie,' because of the way Tony Haygarth used to adjust his crotch.

My favourite line from Police Squad is when a young lady with a lot of cleavage asks "Is this a bust ?" and Drebin replies "It's very impressive but we just want to ask you a few questions."
