No west country/Oxon/Norfolk types preferred, I note. Nor colonial ones (Aussie/Kiwi/Sud Afrika).

Depends where in South Wales. Cardiff accent is pretty dull. Now Valleys accent then we are talking

The Sussex accent is pretty much the same as a general London accent. There is 60 miles distance as well.

Despite the annoying music, I listened to that all the way through to see if he pronounced 'Sassix'. The county wasn't mentioned and the only obviously identical pronunciation to urban Sussex I could detect was the use of choke for chalk.

Forget political boundaries, the accents in southern Ireland are easier on the ear than the harsher noises made by people in the northern part of Ireland whether in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland...
