My partner's from up north though and she bloody loves the accent down here. I could never understand why, but she loves the 'cheeky chappy' cockney sing-song accent of the south east as well as the laziness of it. For example Paul, pull and pool being pronounced the same and without even bothering (bovring) to pronounce the 'l's', and that everyone greets each other with "alrigh'? " "yeah, alrigh?" "Yeah"
The south east accent is pretty funny after someone's pointed out the above and you start considering it more on a day to day basis. It is a bloody lazy accent, for sure
