Would he be worth a place in our squad going forward? Possibly - probably yes if he can recover his form at his previous club before his injury (a big if).

Would he be worth shattering our wage structure, and completely re-modelling the way the club is run? No.

No where near the £150k Fati gets
We are only paying half of that if reports are true
[/QUOTE]
Not what I understand we are paying all of it bar £10k a week

Depends what other irons are in the fire. If we have the funds and using them to have Fati doesn't stop us getting a hot prospect in on contract, I would like the chance to see him get his form back, here, with us. Would be frustrating to see him smashing it somewhere else.

It was reliably reported, when Fati joined us, that we were paying 80% of his salary, which worked out to 160k per week, for ten months (Sep 2023 to June 2024), resulting in a cost to Albion of 7million.
It was also reliably reported that we are not paying his salary direct.

I know it’s trivial but we have paid Barcelona £7m (or so) for his loan, we have not paid Fati a penny. They pay him. He is their player.

Thus, our salary structure remains controlled, prudent and firmly in the bottom 6 of the EPL.

He’s had about as much impact in his loan spell as Chuba Akpom. So I think you can tell that that’s a no.

Lallana haters here claim he’s on huge wages.
I’m a fan of Lallana and he’s been our highest earner for years - Fati aside.

Not entirely sure if he is anymore, but it’s pretty common knowledge that has been the case for the majority of his time at the Albion.

FWIW, I’d love to have Fati back, we have the money, it’s not a ridiculous outlay when someone like Reis Nelson is the alternative on £100k a week currently and with a £30m fee.
