I'm sure they'll be great occasions for the target audience but I do think its a pity that FBS didn't badge it as his weekend and compere/do DJ sets in between some top bands playing live. The place would have been rammed both nights then - as it deserves to be.

But why would he want to do that when he's the headline act at his own party?

This isn't about bands, it's about electronic music. It's horses for courses really, fair play if people don't like dance music but if that's the case then just don't go. Mabye they'll do something that has bands next year and if they do it'll be promoted as such, not involving FBS or any other DJs.

It's interesting the Friday and saturday numbers, and I'm quite pleased to be honest. Think alot of daytrippers will go on saturday so they don't have to take a day off work, hopefully Friday should be a slightly more knowledgeable crowd. 12k is plenty to fill a pitch up so it deffo won't feel sparse when I take up my place near the speakers.

The reason for my comment is that when seeing The Kaiser Chiefs at Elland Road Mark Ronson did a DJ set, and when Muse played Wembley, Zane Lowe DJ'd between acts. The two are not totally incompatible!

I can't wait for this, the Friday is going to be awesome!!! The best night I've ever had in Brighton was years ago at the concord2 for the Big Beat Boutiques 5th birthday, first DJ was Jon Carter, then Carl Cox from 10.30 til 12.00 then Fatboy from 12 til 1.40 and then Carl cox and fatboy played a battle set. It was the best night ever and in what I think is the best club in Brighton.

10 of us have booked Friday off and will be there at doors opening.

Got to pace myself as I'm 33 now and can't quite handle it like I used to be able to. But saying that it's finishing at 10.30ish which is early enough seeing as we are meeting in the pub at midday, still 10 hours of beer though...
