I was having this conversation the other day. I had a particularly nasty bout of wind, and my mate had to leave the room because he couldn't stand it. When he came back in he said "I know everyone likes the smell of their own farts, but surely you must be discusted with yourself after that one". The simple answer was no, it smelled like brown gold
