I want to send flowers to a female friend of some 17 years - it is her 30th birthday on Saturday.

I am boggled by the stuff on the web - Lilly's look good, but I thought they were for Mums? Roses look good too, but I thought they were for partners?

Any help would be appreciated.

I love carnations and they last the longest.

I think lilies smell too strong (epecially the Stargazers) and the pollen stains anything it falls onto.

Get a mixed bunch and there's bound to be something in there that she'll like.

i would go for a mixed bunch, if you call interflora they will put together a nice one for you. say you want nice bright colours etc.
i like lillies expecially pink ones.
