He answered that on the phone in this week... the club are actively working with the council to identify a suitable park and ride scheme.

He also said that a significant proportion of the capital cost for the seats and other development has already been acquired in the form of grants.

He can't say WHEN, only that they are actively working on it with the council.

The f***ing whingers on this site get on my tits. All they do is carp, think the club owes them Brazilian style free flowing football every two weeks for a fiver, and seem to think the board are personally responsible for planning inspectors who are grade 'A' babboons and NIMBY wankers from Withdean who have scuppered the new seats with clever objections that the council have to uphold.

By rights this club should be mid table in the third division based on the resources we have, but somehow, through good management and excellent team spirit, we are two divisions higher, despite the lowest crowds in the Championship by over 3,000 on Saturday.

DK and MP have made the odd mistake, but so has Alex Ferguson (Forlan, Barthez, Veron =£30 million wasted) and Wenger (Step forward Francis Jeffers and record signing Sylvain Wiltord). If any of you are so f***ing perfect then you should by rights be multi-millionaires yourselves, having clearly never made a mistake in your lives and always making the right choices. Instead, like me, you are bored witless in shitty jobs with few prospects, so spend all your time being bitter and resentful on NSC towards a couple of blokes who have got off their arses and tried to run the club with the handicap of one hand tied behind their back and Stevie Wonder as a navigator.

Rant over (ladies and children please forgive my profanity).

FFS... are we not allowed to question ANYTHING DK and MP do?... if so, what is the point of the forum?...

On the 2k seats, MP made a statement that they would be in... they aren't... he should explain... (and I didn't hear the SCR phone-in BTW)....

Oh, and in the current climate, where the board are begging for our hard-earned... they should justify every bloody thing they are doing or not doing... especially in the case of the 2k seats, which would have generated much-needed revenue for the club...

Not having a pop at you mate, the extra seats issue is a valid question.

However, some of the tossers on here who want to make the board squirm (why?) are getting right up my nose.

Oh, I'm sorry too... I agree that the "squirm-wanting" ones are well out of order...

I think El Pres' rant is down to the fact that most of the questions on here have already been answered - it's just that some people don't pay attention.

What seems to happen is - people don't get the answers they want to hear, so therefore instantly disbelieve the board, go off on another round of fantasy ideas about what is 'really' happening and come back even more infuriated. It's pathetic. Sometimes the answers are NOT straight forward, and anything deviating from a straight 'yes' or 'no' is too complicated for them.

It's a very cold, cynical distortion of the individual facts to say 'Martin has failed to deliver...' We get back to Brighton, we get into Withdean, we win two championships outright, plus a third promotion, we are endeavouring to get to Falmer against some very hardened (but misguided) NIMBYS in a city which is basically full up, all on a budget which doesn't exist - that's hardly failing to deliver. And people on here moan about 2,000 seats...?

To think that Martin and Dick will be 'torn apart' is absolutely hilarious. They will take anyone who goes to the forum with that attitude to the cleaners.

In summary -
- The questions about the seats have already been answered.
- The questions about Plan B have already been answered.
- The questions about the Bobby Zamora / Steve Coppell / Cardiff money have already been answered.
- The questions about the club's financial plight have been answered.

Sorry if they're not the answers some want, or are prepared to listen to. What would people prefer? Lies? As I have said before, there are far too many glory-hunters on here.

Failed to deliver ON THE SEATS... I didn't mean failed to deliver FULL-STOP!!... I just want to know what MP is doing about it... as I said, I didn't hear the phone-in...

I stand by my question...

I tend to find people who are quite happy to moan about the club on here tend to be very quiet in public meetings where they may get an answer for the horses mouth.

Bet you don't turn up Ernie ;)

Used to enjoy the old meetings at the Concorde Club when issues really were aired and discussed, however if the one coming up is going to be full of Lord Bracknell types (sorry LB, but haven't forgotten your embarassing outburst about Kuipers at the last meeting when you assumed the role of the fans' spokesman :nono: ) who don't ask any penetrating questions, then it will be a pretty boring affair....

I'll be there but as usual it will be stage managed by Costas gang and the potless pillock will get an easy ride.
Tony Blair could learn something about spin doctoring from this lot

Aint that the truth

Well make sure you do go, and ask a question/s

I don't believe DK has the money, or is able to attract the investment needed into the club (bar Fatboy's cash) to take it forward on the footballing side, but dare to mention that on NSC and you get shot down :nono:

El Pres your profanity is justified.

The Large One is perfectly correct when you say people don't read the answers or listen to what they are told.

The answers have been answered several times over and over again.

Following on from Yorkie, who I fully agree with, and once again El Pres and TLO are spot on.

Most of the repetaive questions have been anwered already, and there is the "Ask the Club" option now avaliable on the board.

I, in my first season of supporting the club went to a forum session at the Racecorse. I probaly made myself look a pillock and asked naiive questions to DK, MP and then Micky. But I must strongly diasagree with the idea it was run by on group or an other. It was a democratic Q&A session, which I belive, like this one will be done in good faith.

In short it was a good night, where I met other like minded fans, and at the time assisted me in making Brighton my home.
