Well, I believe there is a mechanism to add items to the agenda of the meetings.

Then to find out what they talked about we can read the minutes.

This just confirms what’s been posted above, meetings in August and September then nothing.

Yep; and that only 2 members of the FAB turned up to the last meeting.

Really not great.
In that case I'd concur it's died on its arse.

People do forget sometimes we have a super fan at the head of (and funding) the whole shebang, but it seems that whole voting process and the fallout from it was for nothing.

It doesn't make the club badly run though (not that you were saying that, but it's not like we're rewriting articles and hiring Bellotti).

All felt a bit reactionary to the Tracy Crouch report where this kind of thing was included.

I hear from a fan (who runs an unofficial club podcast) that the FAB no longer runs meetings with a formal agenda circulated in advance, real or virtual meeting with views debated, actions agreed, minutes circulated publicly, as it did for the 2 meetings of August and September. The new process is that the club just ‘occasionally bounces stuff off FAB members’ to get a view. Unstructured, opaque, no debate, nothing circulated publicly, no tracking. And FAB members are not allowed to use social media boards (like this) to garner wider opinion in order to form a view and respond to the Club’s request for a view. They can only use personal email. This new process might suggest that if anything goes unexpectedly tango uniform, the Club can trot out the “well, we did consult the fans” line.

In other words: no one is now bothered with this ? I predict this will now quietly disappear.

I'd not seen meeting minutes before this they were linked on this thread. It's pretty telling that only two FAB members turned up for what was a video call, ie no need to travel to an inconvenient place at an inconvenient time.

The scant information available in the public domain does make this look like an opportunity missed.

I asked one of the FAB members (not because it is really my concern but I'm curious about fan influence initiatives) on Facebook a few hours ago about how its going:

Bet those that stood weren't expecting the enormity of the topics they were going to have to struggle with. (Forget Middle Eastern owners, Somewhere Over the Rainbow might see my ticket for sale)

FAB to research and come back with suggestions for alternatives to Hey Jude.
• Freed from Desire by Miss Caffeina
• Rumble in Brighton by the Stray Cats
• Praise You by Fatboy Slim
• Just Can’t Get Enough by Depeche Mode
• Don’t Stop Believing by Journey
• Ecuador by Sash!
• I gotta feeling by Black Eyed Peas
• Somewhere over the Rainbow (with Albion lyrics) by Mr Albion aka Mark Brailsford)

I wonder what makes these people go to the trouble of application, selection procedure and election and then. It turn up to the meetings, weird!
Because they don’t get a nice day out to the training ground or stadium anymore I guess.

Whole thing was just lip service anyway, do you really think Tony Bloom and the board take that much consideration from fans in the decision they make? Some, probably but regularly - I doubt.

‘I’ve amassed this fortune, stuck £500M into this business without taking out a penny but I really want some entitled fans to tell me how to run my business’

Is this some sort of joke?

I agree with the principle of the FAB so I also see this as an opportunity missed. Shame.
