The FAB are discussing communication and how we gather ideas and pass on what we do.

NSC is an obvious and excellent channel (has NSC ever been described as a communication channel before?)

Incredibly though there are thousands of Albion fans who don't log on here daily, don't read emails from The Albion don't use twitter, and don't do Facebook.

We need to reach these people too.

How should we do that?
We want to be able to reach everyone right?

Yes it has, simply because it is already a channel to the club. There is the 'Club Line' forum which includes 'Ask the Club', 'Suggestions' and 'Ask the Police' sub-forums. They're a bit moribund and could do with a re-launch, but the facility is there.

The club did plenty of research on each applicant. I know one person whose application was dismissed because of a reported issue with a steward at least 7 years ago. These things on the club's record allowed the club to discount certain individuals (rightly or wrongly) early on in the process. If someone hasn't clearly done anything that blocks them from standing in the T&Cs (happy to be corrected if this is the case here) then there isn't much the club can do.

The club would have had a reported issue with a steward on record. In the same way that they could easily stop anyone who has been banned from standing as its all on a computer somewhere. Hardly a vetting process when the information about wrongdoing is all to hand.

What they should have done is 20 minutes of social media research into those candidates they were intending to shortlist, just to make sure there were no wrong'uns on the list. That might have then set alarming bells ringing and they could have included someone else instead of a bloke with a questionable track record.

It will be interesting to see if the club take the chance to fill the gap by appointing one of the millennial candidates in his place. They have an opportunity to make the FAB appear more diverse and dampen down a lot of the cynicism

Said person mentioned above has pulled out of FAB due to mental health issues probably stemming from a certain amount of perceived bullying on Twitter. So might be worth bearing that in mind before posting about people on here.

Agreed. Can't this thread hold off from posting about this fan now. They've now resigned, they are clearly vulnerable, probably read about themselves online including threads like this and some of the accusations (a lot of them are merely that) and opinions on here really don't need further repetition. .

This thread is about the FAB. I asked someone who has posted incessently on this thread, about the FAB, why they had claimed they couldn't see a person's tweets and yet, are tweeting them, quoting what they've said on Twitter. Relevant to this thread and the FAB.

All you've done is stalk me, which is trolling, probably because you got an infraction for doing the same thing yesterday to other people. You literally are on your last chance.

Also on its last chance is this thread, I think. I tend to agree with [MENTION=24867]chaileyjem[/MENTION] that there is absolutely no good to come out of continually attacking someone who, as far as I know, isn't even on NSC.

Can we please keep all posts on this thread on topic going forwards? Ta.

1: This is the name of the account holder, the same one shared prior posting photos he shouldn't be, Simon Sheppard. He also posted underneath another Twitter users post that slagged off the youth, wasn't you was it?
2: The area with the number 2 next to it shows you that this user has me blocked, this means I am unable to see their posts, this happened a while ago when I called him out on some pretty gross behaviour.
3: You'll see here this is my personal Twitter account, you'll notice it says "Josh" which is my name, and not "TogetherBHA" which is my podcasts name, the podcast isn't blocked (yet). Be sure to give me a follow even though you DEFINITELY don't use Twitter but know everything going on there

I'll leave it there because the only point I'm trying to make is that, next time you really believe in something, stand up for it at the time and not with the benefit of hindsight, otherwise people might suspect you're joining an internet pile on for followers.

Next season - it’s been reported widely on NSC and elsewhere - missed it ? - that club are spending £M building this and screens, bars, shelters etc in the summer.
