I know a bloke who's a West Ham fan who lives down here, he reckons he's going to get a ST for Falmer because he just wants to get back into the habit of going to football on a Saturday afternoon (but can't be arsed to go to London).

Another guy at work who's barely been to a match in his life, but after driving past the white arches, now fancies investing in a ST. Course talk is cheap, but I think we can expect quite an uptake for the first season.

A mate at work is buying 3 season tickets, when at the moment he only goes to about 4/5 games a season.

You raise a very good point here Easy. There must be tens of thousands of people driving past the thing (perhaps Lord B has accurate figures?) every day, thinking: I'll have some of that.

Great news.

(1 - you won't be partaking in the REMF ground tour raffle then after this freebie?)

(2 - You know that within 15 minutes of making a post on NSC you can edit that post and put right any mistakes you've made. Your post count would be about half if you did this as opposed to posting corrections seconds after the original post.)

Can you also edit *** You can help the REMF via NSC (all) throughout April ***

?

We're a big club in waiting and everything is in place from the stadium to manager to marketing department.

16,000 season tickets and more or less a sell out for the whole of the first season. I know I tend to be over optimistic with Albion matters, but I'm really confident of this one.

Sorry to say that that's the opposite of what people who've been have told me, ie that the bloke seemed completely disinterested and not up to the job. Agree with the rest though!

The head of the Aussie marketing team said that this was the easiest sell they had ever had. He also said he thought that the ground would be iconic, the benchmark for future sports grounds. He also said that he felt no need for a hard sell ( the take up was already way ahead of projections). They were highly impressed by Falmer, thought it was going to be a great success. His team were highly professional, informative and are acheiving results way ahead of targets. So I would suggest from my experience of them that your friends are talking bollox.

I've never had a season ticket, only used to make it to a few games a season, been to a fair few more this season home and away but will be getting myself and my Father a season ticket next season to help with getting OK seats for Falmer (obviously long term season ticket holders should and would get first dibs). I cant wait.

Of course.

A27 at Falmer:-

Average Weekday Two-Way Traffic Flow:- 71,700 vehicles per day
Average Day (including Saturdays & Sundays) Two-Way Traffic Flow:- 68,200 vehicles per day

Interestingly, traffic flows at Falmer have fallen by 3% (Weekdays) and 2% (All Week) since the A27 improvement scheme at Beddingham was finished. Weekday lorry flows have increased by 1%, though.

Ah ha, your one of those old people with high viz vests, cream trousers and brown sandells that sit by the road all day marking stuff on their clipboard.

Some random bloke came up to me and XIV Eye in the street on Saturday, saying he was an Arsenal fan who's just moved down here and can't afford the schlepp to the Emirates, and wanted know about Falmer...

Absolutely, we have a massive latent support just waiting for Falmer.

I know too many people who 'hate Withdean' etc who don't go anymore.

We'll sell out every game in that first season, unless we're abominably rubbish.

I know two West Hams fans in T Wells who will be buying season tickets for Falmer - they regard Brighton as their second club and reckon they'll get far more from going down there than to London.

I am staggered by the latent good will that exists quite some distance from Falmer - if we can convert a good proportion of that with sensible prices and good football, we really could be doing as well as say Norwich with their 25k* season ticket holders if we can have a sustained period of decent level football.

* guess - but it's of that magnitude.

Never been a STH but coming round to the idea myself ( despite only able to attend 8 -10 home games a season )

There are I'm sure a LOT of people ( as some have said ) out there with the same mind set as me.

I also know quite a few people getting a season ticket for Falmer including a part time Man u/Brighton fan, a Liverpool fan and a Notts Forest fan. As long as we are winning I do not think it matters which division we are in.
