No. There is a Falmer For All committee which carefully co-ordinates the activities to organise maximum participation in order achieve maximum publicity. It's not a closed shop, and anyone can submit ideas or suggestions, but all campaigns are run as efficiently and smoothly as possible, with the intention of giving one clear message coming from one clear source.

Signatures: 1,712 at 01:15. Position 62, another 457 needed to get onto page 1. Vote up 400+ since this time yesterday.

I've been making some contacts through the day, adding to efforts by others.

However, although a good day to make contact with other fans, not a lot going on online percentage wise compared with yesterday. Those most likely to be interested travelling or at matches, then in the pub drowning sorrows or successes.

Sudden jump in votes in the last hour, as people filter back from the pub, al least some not too pissed to press the right buttons.

Any good feedback?

Now up to 1844. LDC will pick up on this if we get less than the legalise cannabis petition as the true representation of Brighton residents feeling toward the stadium at Falmer.

At 23:00: Votes: 1939, position: 54

To get to top of page 2:
- for position 51 needs: 2015+1, just 77 votes away

note, if we hold postion 51, we will end up on the last day on top page, as a petition above us expires a day before us.

Better target, as soon as possible: PAGE 1,
- for postion 50 needs 2192+1, now 253 votes away.

Top page needing less votes than have rolled in today, will bring much more publicity, reaching people who are watching other petitions, but weren't aware of the Falmer petition. A tiny percentage of these arriving on p1 may be sympathetic to our cause.

A tiny percentage of a very very big number could do us the world of good.

Therefore the aim is not just to end on p1, but to be there for as much of the last days as possible.

Have your friends that seemed sympathetic when you spoke to them this weekend lived up to their promise and signed up?

This petition was started on 10th Jan, and posted on NSC. Thread died from lack of interest same day after 1/2 dozen posts. Four weeks passed with negligible progress until The Oldman brought it back to NSC, when 37 votes. Three days later reached 1000, and BHA official site grudgingly put it on News page. Two days later all but 2000 votes, all but p1. Never been sticky despite several different requests, 232 post, 6425 views.

Not too late to benefit from being sticky, nor for another update on BHA PremTV.

Even without that maybe p1 by tomorrow morning - check before you go to work.

As at 01:11, need just 244 to displace current no. 50.

Last 24 hrs we've gone up 238, 50th has risen just 25.

Bit worrying our rate per day much less than expected at this stage - the tell 2 friends bit hasn't cut in yet, it seems.

At 10:50: Votes: 2003, position: 53

To get to top of page 2:
- for position 51 needs: 2020+1, just 18 votes away

The target is page 1 asap:
- for postion 50 needs 2195+1, now 193 votes away.

Why page 1? The top petition, to do with road charging, has over a million signatures. This has meant a lot of column inches i the weekend papers.

That means a lot of people have visited p1, and guess what, a hell of a lot trying to visit right now.

So many that the site has been throwing up"Error 503 - site unavailable", and just now: "(110) Connection timed out"

ps update at 11:20: You can still get to the voting page http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Falmer/ without problem, so don't hold back.

Just as an aside, has anyone looked at some of the other petitions on that site?

Give Zara Phillips an OBE has 2 votes

Allowing talking on the mobile whist driving has 1 vote

Ban MSN has 1 vote.

It's pure comedy!!!

51st! Top of page2 now 2050 votes

Page one target is 2197+1, and nearly static.

It's not your vote we need, you will have voted days ago. It's your friends votes that are coming in now. Phone a friend at lunchtime, and we will be well int top page this afternoon.
