Good idea, a full listing of who did what, and their user names.
I trust it will be a very long list.

National Falmer Day was a huge idea that started on NSC and involved hundreds of Albion supporters - and thousands of supporters of other Clubs.

Tonight I have been out with a friend who has been telling me it's Falmer yes for over 2 weeks. This person works on an outourcing government IT project and has certain access priveleges. I posted a cautious Falmer yes verdict on here several weeks ago.

I know for a fact this person has access to both people and ODPM information of the electronic variery.

Anyway from what I have been told it's the 25th and a decision had been made several weeks ago. There will be many conditions but I have been told none are obstacles. It's things like lighting and usage rather than design or capacity.

Personally, despite having confidence in my source I am unwilling to celebrate untill it's offical. I am 99.9999999999999% certain.

A Yes with Conditions sounds fair to me, lets just hope that *IF* it is a Yes then the club can adhere to those conditions set out. For I fear that if they overstep the mark just ever so slightly the bastard NIMBYS would wage another war and demand god knows what!!

So, to recap this thread,
1- Falmer Decision is due Monday
2-It's a yes (says Nic)
3- It may not be Monday
4-It may be Tuesday
5- None of this may be true, in fact the chance of you actually dreaming this thread is happening is quite high.
6- For the next 3 days I will be unable to concentrate on anything.
Thankyou...no disrespect but I am no better off for reading this thread, on the contrary I am now more nervous than ever.
???

Yeah Saturday after Ipswich or on the fri night before... more people will be able to go.. there'll be less aggro about having to drive to work the next day...

Who else went into Brighton after we won Div 2 a few years ago?... Brighton was rocking that night! Watching the impromptu football match next to the fire outside Bri8ghton station!
I am constantly in Brighton

I guess that the problem would be if any of the conditions were ones that had not already been anticipated.

Yes with conditions attached means Prescott's will probably only play football there on Thursday afternoons.......

Apologies, but I was going to post this when the decision was announced. But as I'll be in Egypt at the time, I'll do it now (hoping for the right result)...

Since 1997
When the Goldstone Ground lay dead
Thoughts of a brand new stadium
Spin round and round my head

That fateful day the Goldstone died
Was the one where Stuart Storer
Became a hero of us all
Oh yes, he was the scorer

It sometimes seems the Albion
Takes up every hour of the day
Oh, how I'd wish to be able
To go to the ground and pay

The only league club in Sussex
They play in blue and white
Were saved from going under
Thank you Perry and thank you Knight

And thank you too, John Prescott
We think of you with glee
For soon at Falmer we can sing
"For Sussex by the Sea"

And if the decision doesn't favour us, substitute the last verse with this one...

Now after years of football
Campaigning and getting plastered
John Prescott's flushed it down the pan
The f***ing big fat bastard.

Move over attila.

then I plan to go and drink champagne at Falmer Stadium. Or rather bang slap in the middle of the field that we've fought to get it built on! :lolol:

You mean like Mavis Saggytits and chums did when the first announcement was made? They were all getting soggy gussets thinking they had won. If Nic's news is right-we should invite the villagers to the field for a few quiet drinks:lolol:

I'm not tempting fate though by making plans to drive from Guildford to Brighton to join the party until it is 100% certain-the bottle of champagne in the fridge doesn't count

Not quite about Falmer but a poem from Neilwrexham on the official site.

I could never forget my first Wrexham match
My dad took me on the kop
he was in good spirits, had a few down the hatch
I was in my new Wrexham top

That was 78 and already promoted
but alas the last game of the year
I now had the bug, to football devoted
still not old enough to drink beer

Wrexhams first league game in the old division two
I noted as I browsed through the fixtures
Was HOME against Brighton in yellow and blue
(Iknew that from looking at pictures)

a no score draw the result on that day
I remember the sun burning hot
I was certain we'd score with the way we did play
It wasn't to be, we did not

But who would've thought that so many years on
the fight that these team's fans would have
With the Goldstone ground already gone
and the racecourse at risk from a chav

but the fans all united and fought together
against the greedy men, all mouth and suits
and won a battle that would change things forever
and keep football within its working class roots

now when we play though we still want to win
we hold respect like never before
The people own football in that we're akin
and to the people we will it restore.
