Why count down to the first league game anyway... surely there will be some high profile curtain-raiser opening match and some regular pre-season stuff too which will be well before then ?

because who knows when, the first fixture of the season is a bit more predictable. Anyway, the point is every day we are getting closer and if only this helps remind people to think positively about the stadium then I will be happy. A simple countdown clock at the top of NSC is all I ever wanted!
Why not count down to the first sod being turned?
