Oh well a career in acting for me.

Better than being called a Timmy Mallet look a like once

Absolutely!

And although it might have been me who suggested getting you a turnip, it was said with the highest esteem, your Baldrickson.

(PS I didn't really edit your post, I hit edit instead of "quote"- d'oh!)

And at least you've got a character...I'm just an anonymous orc or summat...destined to trudge around in Gandalf's shadow. Pah!

Oi
Stop wrecking my thread. This is for Falmer demo experiences today, not petty squabbles you LIZARDS.

So You'd say nothing if someone started claiming you were HARD 5.

He called me a Giblet Drumstick! I'm not standing for it!

:D

Loads of toots from supportive drivers,
Marvellous scenes.

I drove past you all about 5 minutes from time, and gave you all a toot. I would have stopped and introduced myself but I was only in Brighton due to a family crisis. I still made a point of driving in that way to see how many of you were there and to try and show some support! It looked like a good turnout.

Nice meeting you Seagullmatt. You seem to be in LOADS of Roz's pictures. Bit of a star eh ?

Roz - I think I'd have you down in the "Galadriel" role (Kate Blanchett) - the elf Lady of the Wood...wise and mysterious, loads of soft focus and atmospheric music and all that.

Lord B is definately Gandalf to a tee.

Too late...still drying out...

I was watching Countryfile this lunchtime (in my defence, I was visiting my gran at her nursing home at the time) and when they crossed over to the weather, they showed the rain radar from yesterday afternoon - nothing over most of the country, and a big, unshifting green blob over the Humbrside area. Can't fault them for accuracy in their forecasts of yesterday's weather.

They also had a long piece about protecting downland around Brighton - I was sitting there on the edge of my seat (as so often happens to Countryfile viewers), afraid that they were going to start saying "and the local football club wants to destroy yet more of our precious countryside by building a stadium there". But fortunately they carried on talking about people using open top buses instead of cars to go to Devils Dyke.

And then John Craven showed us how to save water by putting a bale of hay in the garden and encouraging male guests to relieve themselves on that instead of using the toilet. Makes lovely compost apparently, although I'm not convinced I'd like to eat vegetables grown in compast made from my hoiuseguests' piss.

Well, these pictures will all be going in my portfolio. Might get a part as a goblin in the 'Hobbit' as I don't seem to have a role in LOTR.
