It's nearly mid summer's day. There's no world cup. Why are we still playing football?

Argentina v Indonesia? Why?

It's not midsummer in Argentina, and they're not halfway through their season yet
Game was played in Indonesia though and the entire Argentina squad bar 2 players are European based (and one of those has just finished a European season) so I can understand why people are questioning a rather meaningless friendly at the end of a long season. But it is great to see Facundo called up and starting a game for the World Champions at just 18.

Yeah but it's essentially their international break - they don't change their entire season just because their best players happen to be playing abroad ? No more meaningless (to them) than England doing the same thing in one of our breaks.

Sure I read on here that he wasn't ready for our first team......
In the same way that Enciso seems to have come through a period of adapting to the league and is now producing on the pitch, im excited to hopefully see the same for Buonanotte and Sarmiento next season. Going to be some more confused football fans next season at where we keep finding these gems.

Enciso is one of the few players willing to take a shot from outside the box except Moises ( who quite frankly should not bother bless him ) ..from a young upstart to BBC match of the day goal of the season..not bad progression

Enciso progression from those first games has been remarkable. He looked awful those first few appearances but has literally morphed into Magic Man

High hopes for him this season. Think he will be key

Ferguson
Pedro
Enciso
Mitoma

If Pedro is as good as his potential than that group of players will cause any team in the world nightmares
