It's nearly mid summer's day. There's no world cup. Why are we still playing football?
Argentina v Indonesia? Why?

*buzzes* It's an international fixture window (see also: England match tonight), caused by a mid-season World Cup.It's nearly mid summer's day. There's no world cup. Why are we still playing football?

It's not midsummer in Argentina, and they're not halfway through their season yetIt's nearly mid summer's day. There's no world cup. Why are we still playing football?

Game was played in Indonesia though and the entire Argentina squad bar 2 players are European based (and one of those has just finished a European season) so I can understand why people are questioning a rather meaningless friendly at the end of a long season. But it is great to see Facundo called up and starting a game for the World Champions at just 18.It's not midsummer in Argentina, and they're not halfway through their season yet
Yeah but it's essentially their international break - they don't change their entire season just because their best players happen to be playing abroad ? No more meaningless (to them) than England doing the same thing in one of our breaks.Game was played in Indonesia though and the entire Argentina squad bar 2 players are European based (and one of those has just finished a European season) so I can understand why people are questioning a rather meaningless friendly at the end of a long season. In the same way that Enciso seems to have come through a period of adapting to the league and is now producing on the pitch, im excited to hopefully see the same for Buonanotte and Sarmiento next season. Going to be some more confused football fans next season at where we keep finding these gems.Sure I read on here that he wasn't ready for our first team......
Enciso progression from those first games has been remarkable. He looked awful those first few appearances but has literally morphed into Magic ManIn the same way that Enciso seems to have come through a period of adapting to the league and is now producing on the pitch, im excited to hopefully see the same for Buonanotte and Sarmiento next season. Positive stuff
I'm sure he could fashion an umbrella and overcoat out of £50 notes...So no chance him signing for Man Utd or City then?
off to mighty leeds on loan?
option to buy too apparently, surely that can’t be true
We can loan them a player, but no sale option. We shouldn’t have anything to do with that tinpot Championship team.
