Surely four out of 12: Argentina, Columbia, Ecuador and Paraguay. And when we get Diaz, we'll have Chile wrapped up :lolol:

And we've got 2 Argentinians (assuming Facu signs) and 3 Ecuadorians as well. We could have used those duplicates/swapsies to wrap up Chile, Peru and Uruguay (or three of the other South American countries we haven't got yet). Tony Bloom missed a trick there.

There's still been no announcement on the club website.

Paul, I am free to take a shirt to Buenos Aires if required.

When Adam Virgo leapt like a salmon against Swindon in that play off semi final, this guy wasn’t even born yet.

Feeling old?

There’s dozens of targets we want, same as most other well-run clubs with good scouting infrastructure. Most won’t come off (agent demands, transfer fees, third party ownership issues, other clubs signing them, the player not wanting to come, wage demands, work permit/visa issues…).

For every one we get, there’s another load in the pipeline.

We watched and waited to get Cucurella, Andone, Estupinian, Lamptey, Veltman over a period of years, not months. Those are some of the ones we got, there’ll be 50 we didn’t. The only difference is this one is public and we know about it.

His agent just gave an interview and he's pretty pissed (sorry for the bad translation, my English isn't that great lol):

"We don't want anything to do with this board (directors?). We had a meeting with Brighton, at that moment, Buonanotte didn't have a contract with the club and could leave by custody (I'm not sure how to translate this? It means essentially that because he's a minor his parents can just decide to move to England, for example, and he can choose to go to a different club without actually being sold). He also had a 2M release clause.
This back and forth has surprised us. We had everything agreed upon. We were starting to exchange the paperwork with the Brighton representatives, and now this happens.
At first, it was 5 or 6M, then 6M in bonuses, all achievable. Later, a 20% sell-on clause. It could've been the best sale in Central's history. An offer from a Premier League club doesn't arrive for every player, and especially a 17-year-old. Buonanotte's sale could've left more money than Julian Alvarez's.
This shows how unserious (?) Central is. All of this through the media, it's pathetic."

On Brighton: "They can't believe it. Brighton is playing and they're sending messages. They're surprised. We had a meeting for 15 hours here in Madrid to find a solution, the best thing for the club.

According to him, Central now wants to improve his contract and set a 20M release clause. Still, he insists they want nothing to do with this administration. He said he kept trying to call Carloni (Central's president) and didn't get an answer and even Facundo called him and no answer.

Bloody hell. No wonder we try to keep these deals quiet. Maybe been hijacked or just a change of heart from them?
My guess is the former.

Probably playing brinksmanship to try and squeeze a few extra million out of a club have sold 115m worth of players this summer.

*insert Toby Bloom poker cliche here.

Your English is understandable and not at all bad! Thanks for the effort.
