There’s dozens of targets we want, same as most other well-run clubs with good scouting infrastructure. Most won’t come off (agent demands, transfer fees, third party ownership issues, other clubs signing them, the player not wanting to come, wage demands, work permit/visa issues…).

For every one we get, there’s another load in the pipeline.

We watched and waited to get Cucurella, Andone, Estupinian, Lamptey, Veltman over a period of years, not months. Those are some of the ones we got, there’ll be 50 we didn’t. The only difference is this one is public and we know about it.
