No positive reactions about Hürzeler‘s management today at all?
Sorry - misunderstood - thought you were referring to Fabian’s tactical mindThe point I was making (albeit obliquely) was that there’s been no end of people ready to write FH off, and yet when somebody points out that he’s done brilliantly there’s absolute silence. Hence the tumbleweed.
As it turns out, I’ve had to explain it in words, so whoever said a picture’s worth a thousand words is clearly as wrong as those starting threads like “is FH out of his depth” or “we look so poorly coached”
Second half I noticed FH used every mini break in play to dish out instructions to particular players. I love that.
Angie was statuesque. I assume going for “These are big boys, they’ll sort this out”. No.
[Hurzeler on] for which club he would one day leave Brighton
Hürzeler: "I'm not going to make a secret of it: There is of course a club that is close to my heart, because I played there for ten or eleven years - and that is FC Bayern. Those are simply my roots. But: I was very happy at Pipinsried in the 4th division, at St. Pauli and now in Brighton. I don't define myself by which club I coach, but rather by the people I work with. And I define myself by the state I leave a club in and what people think of me. Of course, not everyone at FC St. Pauli is happy with me - which I can understand because of the connection I have with the fans - but I left behind an intact team and, together with my staff, made sure that we got back into the first division. That memory will remain."
Praying Bayern win the treble under Kompany now!
Is this one of those words that people assume are Americanisms but turn out to have been really common in Britain up until the 1820s or so?F*** me.
I thought I was good at English.
But a 31* year old German, a GERMAN, has taught me a new word in English - convincement. He used it a number of times in his pre-match presser.
I just assumed it was a made up word. But it isn't. It really exists.
*31. The youngest PL manager/head coach ever. You heard it here first.
