If we're appointing 31 year olds, there's a chance the next one is still in primary school. :ROFLMAO:

The day after Hurzeler was born, we won 2-1 at Wigan with a brace from Kurt Nogan. Blimey this makes me feel old.
Good post. Sure I went to that game at Springfield Road. Ground reminiscent of a 1970s speedway track. Martinez and the other 2 amigos playing for Wigan. Freezing cold with a snowstorm on the way back.
No better chant than when Nogan but the ball in the net at any game (Fox in the box), NO NO NO NO NO NO Etc.
Hope this guy Hurzeler gets in, and we go again. He looks a good deal.
Luv this club, the journeys is as good as arriving.
Better than the top 4 entitled, whinging on Talksport about a away draw against a mid table club in November.

From the manager perspective of course, though it's done Kompany no harm. Just think it's not the sort of thing a club like ours should be doing.
why? i get where you’re coming from, and there’s probably nothing i could say that would change your mind, but being ‘nice’ in these situations isn’t going to get us anywhere. if we can offer a bigger budget, better players, better wages and an overall higher ceiling, then why shouldn’t we?

we’re not by any means entitled to such appointments, but you really can’t say it’s not something ‘a club like ours’ should be doing, as us not making a shrewd appointment due to the sentimentality of taking a staff member from a promoted team is pretty much the antithesis of how TB and PB operate

Impossible to say if he'll be a good replacement. I highly doubt that anyone who has voted 'Yes' has even seen St. Pauli play, let alone look at the data, or how easily he would adapt to the Premier League.

Give him a season in the Bundesliga and then we have a candidate, if he's not already been snapped up by another club.

Lol

Average age of coaches in top flight is getting older as fewer and fewer owners can afford to take risks on relatively inexperienced managers but our Tony is a gambler 🙂

I'm not entirely sure . Somewhere between 'be nice to people on the way up..etc" and just being a good egg and standing up for you believe in.

The actual answer is 100 % don't know

And 100% that any truth on this list is purely down to the broken clock striking twice philosophy

Damn, And I was 23 !!
Yep, a cold day in February, in front of about 150 away fans, my last away game as a northern exile before I moved back down south, and my first away victory in nearly 3 years, younger fans won’t understand how bad we were away back then.

Probably - but only 3 passes before playing it long into the MF - Dangerous yep, if oppo pressing high but he uses his (very good player!) as one of 3 at the back, who plays DMF in possession and drops back into CB when out of possession - a role I think we’ve been missing - (A role Baleba could be brilliant at imo)

There’s less flapping around FH does it for less time (and also plays a lot of long balls over the top to his AMF and Forwards if the opposition isn’t rising to the bait so there’s always a plan B)

Fantastic build up to the goal.

You’re talking to a big RDZ and RDZ-ball fan here. It worked. Magically.

Controversial opinion … will probably wake up to angry posts … it fell apart because our first team was decimated by sales and injuries, Ferguson stopped scoring. We weren’t “found out”. Yes, RDZ was single minded and a perfectionist, had faults, but it’s hard to see how he could’ve gone low block. We didn’t have the quality pivots (even Arsenal often play two in Rice and Jorginho to shut up shop) or non-injured game changers to destroy on the counter.
