I imagine sorting his back room team out has been or will be very complex. RDZ has built a gang over the years but a I doubt his chap comes with a huge entourage. This could take a while if he is our man.

Yes, because the biggest, most vile **** on this board is very determined to turn into a shitfest, as always. And its not going to sort itself, because he's a mod and very clearly untouchable since he would have banned a million years ago if the same rules applied to him as anyone else. He sets the tone and is personally responsible for like 90% of the abuse and personal attacks that happen here. Like this one.

So we just have to deal with it and raise our voices and make it a Hurzeler discussion/news thread.

Interesting to see that he in recent months played a 3-4-3 formation (with some differences in it depending on the game), while changing a bit more prior to that. Sometimes in a run-in you do want to go for the comfy stuff though, when things go well.

A 3-4-3 formation, or really most 3-at-the-back formations, would probably mean a bit more changes to the squad compared to someone who is more interested at playing four at the back - if we assume Hurzeler actually has a favorite formation rather than being the kind of "lets shape the team according to what we have".

I said a couple of weeks ago that I thought we would try to go for Levi Colwill again, breaking our transfer record if needed. If we cant get him, getting a top level LCB - and no, not fecking Alibigor - will still be a massive priority. And finding a starting LCB for a Premier League team is a lot easier said than done.

The wide players in a 3-4-3 are also some key players. We saw under Potter that March is able to do the job on the right side, and I imagine Pervis should be able to do it on the left, although you kind of want someone who is a bit better at linking up with players around him than Pervis is. Perverto is a fantastic crosser, fantastic runner, fantastic shooter, but the small tiki-taka play is not exactly his strength, and realistically we're going to have smaller spaces to work with than with RDZs 4-2-3-1 formation.

Going to take a deep dive into Hurzelian tactics tomorrow and try find out what we're in for more specifically, and which of our players who will be able to suit him... if ends up being him, maybe shouldn't take it for granted quite yet...

Pretty excited about this and hope to get even more excited tomorrow. From a tactical perspective I would love it, I was fearing we'd go with another one of drazillions of 4-2-3-1 managers just because we had started to build a bit in that direction recently.
Utter nonsense as often.

He's fair, gives as good as he gets, it's a football forum after all not an ego massage parlour.

Oh and he didn't compel you to go on an anti semitic rant. You did that yourself.

I don't trust this hipster football management bullshit.
Yeah, what have the Romans' data based methods ever done for us?

Well, promotion from Div 1? - Well, they did do that, yes.
And then put a team together that got us into the EPL? - Well that goes without saying.
Turned us into one of the best footballing teams in the country? - There was that I suppose.
They added goals, a crazy Italian loved by the hipsters and got us into Europe!

Yes but apart from.... (You get the picture).

I wasn't referring to our data based player/manager selection. That's just good sense.

I meant all the tossing off over funky formations and shit like that. I swear 90% of successful teams have people gushing over how they're "the most flexible team I've ever seen" and how every player has an uncanny knowledge of where they have to be at any given time depending on the situation, and then when the manager's replaced for whatever reason suddenly people start nitpicking over how they weren't running enough in training or whatever entirely generic new-manager-moan you want to throw in.

Frankly if that's the case then so be it.

Local stuff is the shit, the good stuff. Even if it isn't my local. I'm jealous of Lund nothing an NSC. I'm jealous of Malmö not having an NSC. Everyone f***ing needs it, you know? Place for local community, discussion, information sharing, friendship bonding. How many people in here have met each other through NSC? Or met people, asked "whats your name on NSC?" and then been able to interact with that. Human stuff.

I like to be here, and I'm fine not discussing politics and that kind of shit (honestly recommend avoiding it because its feckin dark) if it creates diversion and bollocks. But if I get banned raising the talking point of this guy constantly bullying people and attacking them for their drug addictions, dyslexia, depressions, lack of activity, too much activity and so forth... its ok, worth it.

I am not taking sides here as I don´t follow every thread and post.
But I do find it odd that people are prepared to go back years to quote posts to aid their argument.
Surely there must be something more worthwhile to spent one´s time on?

I don't suppose it's worth asking if you could just tone it down a little? Ostensibly I agree with your most reasonable post. Maybe your output is a little....excessive? But each to their own.

He may have to win over some of the older players based on his age and lesser experience.

If he shows early on he has the tactical knowledge and the "emotional intelligence" , age and experience will soon be forgotten.

...but when the hipsters leave...our coaching staff are decimated (see what I did there 😉)
