If Potter had this squad that never would have happened, it’s night and day. Look who he had as attacking options compared to FH. The problem with Potter was we created loads but couldn’t convert, now we don’t create hardly anything.
We created nothing today, but we’ve scored 8 in our previous 4 league games, so must be doing something right.
He spent £200m after selling £250m. I’m not an accountant but…
And about half that 200m spend is either out on loan or long-term injured.

How would you have felt if potter had left 6 months earlier when we were on that 6 match losing streak, including 0-3 at home to Burnley who were relegated?
I know you weren’t asking me but I would have been peed off at any point with Potter leaving. He’d totally transformed the style of a team that hardly wanted to cross the halfway line before and players were improving in leaps and bounds. It was clear they were becoming much more versatile and in-game subs/formation changes were generally good. Bumps in the road but the bigger picture was always progress.

That bigger picture is not so clear currently.

I see one of our players quite regularly and no way he’d talk about the dressing room and I wouldn’t dream of asking him.

Even if he did, I wouldn’t dream of posting it on a fans forum!!
I know 2 of the coaching staff fairly well - not that I see them much now. I would never ever ask them about anything like that and I know they’d hopefully never say anything like that. What sort of a mate would I be blabbing - that’s why I take these stories with a pinch of salt.

Bloom spent 200m this summer.

Like having a top of the range Ferrari without someone capable of driving it.

Exactly - Of the £200m, some were very much for the future and replacements for players sold in previous windows - and a fair amount are currently injured - some even arrived injured! Plus, a lot were always going to take a good few games to get into the swing of things/adjust to the change in league standard, but injury has slowed down this process further.

Our recruitment also has to take blame for an excess in some areas of the squad and a shortfall in others. Spending lots on players all in similar positions, sqews the expected impact on the team.

I agree with you about Potter, but I felt it needed pointing out that there was plenty of Potter out talk in his first 2 seasons and even in his 3rd season before it all clicked.

Hurseler has had an ok start to his managerial career. It’s been 23 games, and in that time there has been some great halves of football played. It’s frustrating that we’ve not been able to put 2 halves together in any single game, but it’s certainly enough to be encouraged at this stage.

Can’t really remember Potter’s equivalent spell at the beginning of his stint. I know it was the first half of the Covid interrupted season and I remember that we were not looking great and only just above the bottom 3 until the enforced break.

Hurzeler is not liked within the changing room and that’s a FACT.

He’s fallen out with Danny Welbeck and Lewis Dunk over the treatment of Evan Ferguson and it’s caused a massive rift within the squad.

Im not going to disclose my source by I can assure you that everything is not at all rosy at the moment with a group of players making their feelings known to PB and TB.

Tbh sad as it is, I don’t think the team look nearly as together or especially happy on the pitch as they used to. So this wouldn’t be especially surprising news.

Dave! Is that you?

What were your expectations? Not a loaded question, just a straightforward ask. What did you expect from this season?
With the investment I expect at least a top 10 finish and being closer to challenging for Europe and a good cup run which of course may still happen. Still a long way to go but, today's showing particularly 1st half was poor. We're nowhere near consistent with performances with the talent we have despite the injures. BTW I'm not Fab out or close to it but, I'm still not sure what his tactics and system are?

I know what you are saying, but Evan was apparently unhappy under RDZ, and there were definitely other unhappy players last season.

It's not Dave is it ???

It’s shocking that under our last 3 managers this issues haven’t been sorted I think the issue is we are the softest team in the PL I bet Southampton turn us over at st marys but then we go and win at Manchester City really needs sorting us 3 home wins all season is shocking
Wouldn't be surprised if we beat Forest next week. Its just the way we are.

Who knows the truth of this but what I’d like to know if it is is what exactly Fab has done to Evan? Not playing him? Playing him injured? Bullying?

I do get the impression Fab is nowhere near as popular as RDZ was with the players.
