Nailed on to be sacked (quite rightly) at the end of the season because Tony won't f*** about. You don't spend the money he has and accept finishing 9th.
What would be an acceptable finish ?

Weird call to drop Minteh and to play Gruda.

The home form and performances are absolutely unacceptable, that's undeniable. I have seen some improvements in some areas in some games, but certainly not with playing teams like that at home- every game has played out the same way, except sometimes we've got a point, sometimes we haven't. I'll leave it at that.

None of our players were worth above a 5/10 today, so it's not as if a claim can be made that it's all on the manager, but he certainly has some learning to do and tweaks to make if we're going to challenge for anything next season.

We’re not a European qualifying squad/team. Can’t keep clean-sheets, awful home form.

10th / 11th is about right, with a fair wind.
We were last season and more players bought in since. So are you saying Fabian just isn't good enough? I feel he is too young and as an Albion fan I don't want an apprentice as manager. Happy for the youth system else where in the club, but not the main man.

he got a lot wrong today, after getting a lot right on the previous two games. it happens. what’s most concerning isn’t anything fab-specific, but rather why the home form has taken an absolute nosedive in the last 18 months. the entire ground repeatedly doing its best morgue impression might have something to do with it.

The problem is that most people will be going to home games primarily. And we’re generally poor at home.

Today was abysmal. It’s another home performance to add to the list to show the guy has no plan, no ability to positively change the game (I’ve no idea what he was trying to achieve with any of his subs), and isn’t getting the best out of the talent we have. We’re utterly soulless to watch.

Honestly, I just don’t enjoy going to home games and watching our team play when they’re managed by this guy.

We’re a 10th/11th squad.

Teams with our home record and lacking the ability to break down all sorts of opposition tactics, don’t make Europe.

We tasted it once with a world class centre midfield. We’re miles away from the quality of that incredible team. We’re punching at the right level just now.

Sorry but with the squad we have we should be. The depth in midfield and attacking positions is the best we have ever had.
De Zerbi would have this squad top five.

As an Albion fan I hated the result. Hence the posts to get the wrong person out of the club. If you want to keep accepting inadequacies for this club that’s up to you
If you are an Albion fan you would know that we haven't beaten Everton at home since August 2021. It's what we do against them at home. Remember the 1-5?

Definitely feels like a rerun of the Potter years.

It's tricky because he's not really doing badly enough to warrant the sack but we know from recent experience that a change of coach can make a huge positive difference.
I always felt like Potter had an idea about what he wanted to achieve in different scenarios in a game. I don’t have that feel with this guy.

I’ve been called out for calling him tactically inept before, but I really do think he is.

He must be doing something totally different, and incredible, away from home to be getting the praise he is from some quarters.

Acceptable to who?
You said 'Tony won't f*** about. You don't spend the money he has and accept finishing 9th'

I'm just asking what you think an acceptable finish would be. Your quote suggests you feel Tony has a point, if indeed he would be of such a view.
