How do they know the precise moment the ball was kicked? That's right. They don't.Its clear hes offside, its not f***ed up at all.

I genuinely don’t think that’s true. It’s nowhere near clear enough that fans would have felt aggrieved pre-VAR. Pretty much everyone would have deemed that roughly level and accepted it as annoying but one of those things.and if the Albion were in that situation instead of Utd we'd all be praising VAR or screaming for VAR were it not yet introduced.
Get out of your entrentched views for a second. to me, that looks clear, you can see his foot over the red line that ends and the defenders foot, which makes it clear to me he is offside. No, it's not 'clear' by any means. It's totally f***ed-up and anyone who says otherwise is a sap.
Jeez...I'l say nothing further.Get out of your entrentched views for a second. to me, that looks clear, you can see his foot over the red line that ends and the defenders foot, which makes it clear to me he is offside.
Same as Emi Martinez last week for Villa. Yellow cards issued in the game are not carried over into the penalty kicks.Genuine question, can anyone explain why Onana wasn't sent off during the pens if he got 2 yellows?
You realise that red line isn’t actually on the pitch and hardly any linesmen over the previous God knows how many decades would have flagged for it?Get out of your entrentched views for a second. to me, that looks clear, you can see his foot over the red line that ends and the defenders foot, which makes it clear to me he is offside.
Because yellows picked up during 90 mins / extra time do not carry over into the penalty shoot out. They start with a clean slate.Genuine question, can anyone explain why Onana wasn't sent off during the pens if he got 2 yellows?
Oh please.I genuinely don’t think that’s true. It’s nowhere near clear enough that fans would have felt aggrieved pre-VAR. Pretty much everyone would have deemed that roughly level and accepted it as annoying but one of those things.
Missed that, taSame as Emi Martinez last week for Villa. Yellow cards issued in the game are not carried over into the penalty kicks.
To me they look dead level. And the tech can’t tell the exact moment the ball is kicked either. Scam.Yes, the still clearly shows his foot ahead
Thats not a courtesy myself and many teenagers are given down the park. We get abused even if we get it right.I genuinely don’t think that’s true. If you get booked in the match, it doesn't get carried over into the shootout. We all learned that this week during the Villa - Lille game where their keeper got booked again and everyone expected him to be sent off.Genuine question, can anyone explain why Onana wasn't sent off during the pens if he got 2 yellows?
We’ll agree to disagree. VAR wasn’t brought in to rule out people being an inch offside. It was brought in to prevent goals like Thierry Henry’s infamous handball and has massively over-reached the original intention.Oh please.
That's is the exact decision why we have VAR now.
Talkspite, 606, a thousand and one yards of back page news print and a million hours of podcasting would have been devoted to that one decision, for the next week.
"Big games can't be decided on the whim of a lino...".
Same reason that villa Argie can't wasn't on Thursday, yellows in the match are wiped out in pensGenuine question, can anyone explain why Onana wasn't sent off during the pens if he got 2 yellows?
Irrelevant.Thats not a courtesy myself and many teenagers are given down the park. We get abused even if we get it right.
