Elanga has had an outstanding season, Morgan Gibbs White is class on his day and as much as I can never understand quite why Chris Wood is so prolific, the fact is that does score lots of goals. Personally I really rate Elliott Anderson too.

Their CB’s and keeper are excellent too.

The last time Forest won a game was the 7-0 against us.

The last time we lost a game was the 7-0 against Forest.

Funny old game, ain’t it.
I recall Palarse losing 9-0 at Liverpool.

Remember the result that season at Shitehole?

1-0 to Palarse.

Funny old game indeed.

Yep. Anderson, MGW and Wood, plus Sels and Murillo. We’re quite evenly matched sides I think (at least first XIs). I’m hoping our stronger bench might see us home again, as it has against Bournemouth, Newcastle and, remarkably given the money they spent, Chelsea

Plenty saying they’re not bang average. Still haven’t heard who from their whole squad gets in our starting 11? Other than Murillo, I’d argue none of the rest
A good team is greater than the sum of its parts.

How many teams 'full of quality' do you see fail to deliver. Plenty!

Make no mistake. These are a good team.

I still don't fear them though. Just like I didn't fear Newcastle, or that other lot before them.

On our day we can beat anyone. A fact we have consistently proven over recent seasons.

Don't be stupid. They are 4th FFS.

Remember when we had an outstanding side including a world cup winning midfielder? We finished 6th that season.

They've had a great season, based on their outstanding centre halves, Wood having the season of his life, Gibbs-White and some fast wingers. Very much a counter attacking side which has largely worked for them until now, while not necessarily being all that much fun to watch, much like Nuno Espirito Santo's Wolves teams. Luckily for them, they've had no significant injuries to deal with. Nuno's history suggests opponents tend to work him out in the end, so it'll be interesting to see if they can sustain it next year. Or if richer clubs come in for Murillo.

I mean, maybe their lack of injuries is down to the fact they spend a lot of each game standing around watching opponents pass the ball and waiting for them to make a mistake, whereas team that do a lot of high pressing (us, Spurs, for example) have far worse injury records.

Several wouldn't weaken us.
Wood & Gibbs-White are good enough to start for us.

But most importantly, as a team they have been more than the sum of their parts for the whole season.
We have only just started looking like a cohesive team.

Much more likely to be played sometime Sat now as Forest have a live match on TNT on the Tue so that probably won't move and it would save our game v Villa moving as well.

Sels in goal.
Aina at right-back
Gibbs-White in central midfield alongside Baleba
Wood as centre forward

Combined starting eleven:

Sels; Aina, van Hecke, Murillo, Hinshelwood; Baleba, Gibbs-White; Georginio, Joao Pedro, Mitoma; Wood

All in our starting 11? Really?

Bournemouth and Newcastle have several players that would definitely be in our starting 11. Forest? Nah

Whilst not taking sides, we finished 6th at the end of the season.

Forest may be 3rd today (not 4th), but there are 11 games still to go, and they're only six points above 10th.

When they thashed us 7-0 they were 13 points ahead of us - there's a not-unrealistic chance that could be down to two points by Saturday evening.

They are a decent, solid and highly-effective side. They've had a fantastic season. But they could still finish below us and, even, fail to qualify for Europe.

We shouldn't be looking at this as anything other than a tremendous opportunity to get back to Wembley.
If they don't pull themselves out of their slump, they will finish 10th. But I doubt they will stay in this slump and I expect them to finish somewhere between 4th and 7th. But wherever they finish, they simply aren't bang average, and that is all I'm saying. Any team that is 3rd in March deserve far more respect than that.

Aina? Not fit to lace Veltman’s boots. Gibbs-White is a 10 not a cm. Wood is not indifferent to Welbeck in style of play. I can understand your case for Sels, he’s had a good season.

Their keeper Sels and Murillo, and I think that Elanga and Hudson Odoi are currently ahead of Minteh in terms of quality and experience

If they finish 10th they’ll be in the middle position of the 20 team league and by default would then be considered average

Do we know if it’s 2 on the Sat, 2 on the Sunday like last year? As before that I think it was 1 Sat 3 Sun…

I knew you'd say that! But they are currently 3rd and if they finish 10th it will still probably mean they are no more than 5 points off the champions league places but maybe 10 points from 12th. So I think we can agree that the league placings will not be telling the whole story, and that 10th place is probably not quite as bang average as it might be.
