He's TWENTY-FOUR!!!! Please, just keep repeating that to yourself. Michael Schumacher hadn't won a championship when he was Lewis' age. Lewis HAS. Fernando won his first championship at the age Lewis is now. Put just how brilliant he is in perspective I think. So the odd mistake is all you've got against him, when other "greats" weren't even winning races at his age let alone having to worry about "mistakes." He's a phenomenal talent and will surpass many of those you hark on about.

His dad's a bit annoying tho..

If "kicking off" means rookie Lewis upstaging a double-world champion then I suppose they kicked off. I prefer to think of it as Fernando just not expecting Lewis' genius and McLaren getting a problem they never imagined.

.

Lewis copied Alonso's set ups that is what pissed him off more than anything. Alonso found the time and Hamilton piggy backed it.

As long as he's got one of the best three cars on the grid he'll be in the thick of the championship hunt. That'll be the same for the next ten years. So why would he not be a multi world champion (which in my book would make him a "great").

Vettell, Rosberg, Alonso, are three reasons why he's unlikely to repeat Schumacher's feats. He is not gonna win year after year with that quality of driver on the grid and no doubt more coming through. Yes he'll be there or therabouts but if he doesn't curb the errors he'll not be a multi world champion, again just my opinion.

The Kimi situation is interesting. I don't think Lewis would object to having another quality driver in the team, but I do think there are aspects of Kimi's character that anyone would have problems with. It'll be explosive as you say, and either brilliant or a nightmare for McLaren. I don't see there being much in between.

i am pretty certain hamilton will object if mclaren let them race each other and king kimi is beating him consistently - he is used to being their golden boy due to the fact that ron dennis used to view him as a love child, and if somebody comes in and rocks the boat then hamilton will probably not be too happy about it

unfortunately, as somebody else has already said, it wont happen as kimi just doesnt give a f***. he'll be brilliant when he can be bothered (as the end of the 2007 showed), but if that is only in half of the races in the season then it wont be enough for him to rock the boat enough

heres hoping kimi cares - hamilton not winning races is good for the british viewing public as it means his wanker of a father and his attempts to milk all his sons fame is kept off of our television screens

Even if that's true, and it's a massive IF, Lewis still out-drove him on the track didn't he. Just like he will in 2010.

He got the same points? Is that what you call outdriving someone? It is a fact about the set ups btw.

You have NO idea if he'll outdrive him next year, it's just what you'd like to happen. Please stop making silly statementa that have nothing to back them up. No one knows what will happen next season.

Now I'm a Hamilton fan, but you take "one-eyed" to the next level.
The age thing you quote about Schumacher and Alonso is somewhat flawed, as neither got put into a car capable of winning a championship from day one. Schumacher raced sportscars and then got stuck in Bennetons when the Williams's and Mclarens were fighting for championships in the early 90's, and Alonso served his time in a Minardi! Ok Hamilton was deemed good enough to take the seat (although its debateable whether he'd had had it in 2007 had Montoya not jacked it in) and surprised everybody. He's bloody good, but time will tell if he's great. The next 5 or so years are gonna be great with Hamilton, Alonoso, Vettel and Massa fighting for the Championship, although if Mercedes ditch Mclaren as rumoured at the end of next year, Lewis may be looking elsewhere for a drive.

As for Button, I'm bloody pleased for the guy, but he's making hard work of a championship he should have put to bed a few races ago.

Button: "There's nothing I could have done."

Oh f*** off you blame-everyone-but-me twat. Rubens was in the same car with the same tyres and the same "understeer."

Getting bored with having to correct you, Rubens was on intermediates, Button on full wets...team decision.

If you can't comprehend that qualifying was a lottery, have a look where Hamilton and Vettell are on the grid. Then look where Webber and Sutil are.
