I have already said that I know nothing about F1 but could somebody explain why they give points down to 10th place or whatever. Would it not be more logical to give 1st 15 point 2nd 10 pts 3rd 5 pts and consolation 4th 1 pt. Was the points given not changed so as to avoid a situation whereby a driver only has to finish 5th or 6th to win the title. Or was it just done because Ferrarri wanted it!

Playing snooker
Nodding off by lap 25
Asleep by lap 30 something

Woke up during post race press conference. One of the dullest races I've ever slept through.

I don't see what your problem is with Button, TCB. He drove a great car well enough to win the Championship last season. He's not saying he's the world's best driver or anything, either.

Out of him and Hamilton then Lewis is the better driver, but it's early days. He was only a second behind the greatest driver of all-time is another way of looking at it.

In terms of the Constructor's Chamionship I can see Button's consistency picking up a lot of point for MacLaren too.

Does anybody know if Jenson has finished yet?

So come on then you smug Jenson-loving cretins, let's BE 'AVIN YA. Comprehensively outdriven in the same car by the real world champion. 3rd v 7th is just embarrassing really. Even the BBC commentators, who all seem like they want to suck Jenson's cock at any given moment, were admitting he was shit today. Lewis - IMPERIOUS:bowdown:

Mate you are such a tool it's laughable. I'm a Jenson fan as i live in his home town, it's called pride. No reason to be vitriolic about it as I don't think anybody really cares...

Can they bring back Fuel pit-stops please? Because that was so bloody boring....

the boringness of the race had nothing to do with fuel stops, as spectators we want overtaking done on the track and not in the pits on some strategic game....thats boring! Now they are more of a level playing field and we'll see that with shorter tracks, bahrain is just too long.

Very dull start and not a great advert for the hype that has been building for a while. As an F1 stalwart fan of many years standing even I'll be giving the races a miss after another couple like that. No excuses, that was a race for insomniacs to watch. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe there was only one proper overtaking move after the 1st couple of bends for the top 8 drivers in the whole GP when Alonso took Massa very early on??

Also, surely Bernie can resolve the issue with the driver physios.

The reason that Alonso was the only driver on Martin Brundle's gridwalk was that all the other drivers chose to disapear to the back of their garage until the last minute because Bernie has effectively banned the drivers' physios from going onto the grid.

I concur with the points about it being a boring race.

That race was god awful ysterday. Anymore like that and I will be making a beeline to creosote the fence. The regulations this year look like they have cocked up beyond belief. No Kers, worn tyres and no differing fuel loads and surprise surprise, no-one can overtake. And like Icy I say that as someone who still defended F1 during the Schumacher dominance years.

And Badger. You act like you've got a 6 timer up at Cheltenham. Predicting Hamilton will beat Button is like saying before a ball is kicked that Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal will fill the top 4. I don't think anyone is surprised and if you can find one post on here or any commentator that says otherwise I will post a picture of lewis for you to wank over.

I've been an armchair F1 fan for many many years and at the start of each new season, wait with interest to hear the latest changes to the regs by Uncle Bernie to try and make F1 the spectical it once was.

Alas, he appears to have failed this season. I really don't understand this no touch the car after qually 3.

Also, F1 is about outright speed and performance and so asking teams make do with 8 engines over a full season (to save team running costs) is not IMHO what the ethos of F1 is all about. = Radio: "slow down, don't overtake, conserve your engine for the next race" FFS !!

And why did Webber not get a penalty for sneeking a head start (note not a jump start) - I can see Shumi qualifying 10th next time and pulling up on the start grid beside pole-sitter ....

In a word: "PROCESSIONAL" needs to improve & fast.
