shocking to be honest. the point flatters the performance. so pedestrian, without any creativity really. Side to side and back to defense constantly.
There was very little space to play the ball into. What on earth were you expecting from a Dyche team? Arces of unmarked territory? His players hardly left their half.

Think we should be pleased with the point.

Everton are in decent enough form. They had a game plan, and to be fair to them it worked.

We got a little bit of luck for the goal, which made up for the disappointing VAR decision.

Thought we played well. They were so hard to break down - a disciplined defensive performance from them.

Lots of positives for me.

I have a lot of confidence in Van Hecke - he's looking increasingly confident himself, great on the ball and looking good defensively.

Dahoud looked really sharp and intelligent when he came on.

Dunk's cross field passes are, well, absolutely world class. Think he made 4 out of 5 of them, which really opened play for us. Unlucky with his freekick.

A few negatives for me as well.

Thought Gross didn't have his best game. Quite a few misplaced passes.

Verbruggen clearly doesn't inspire as much confidence on the ball as Steele. He's probably a traditional goalkeeper. Whether RDZ will opt to stick with him and adapt our strategy accordingly, or whether he will improve that aspect of his game, remains to be seen.

Would have liked to have seen Ferguson drop back a bit more, as he was completely marked out of the game.

Apart from that - decent performance, fair result. Bring on the next one.

Watched the whole game on my phone and would you believe it the internet went down on 82 minutes. I flounced off only to get it back 5 minutes later and we had scored !! - which was nice.

The curse of October in PL! Two draws in games we should have aimed to win.. Weird although I think the constant massive team changes don't help.

Is that 3 points out of 15 now? I think it might be. We are not creating enough now and with a slow defence we can be vulnerable, will we be spending a Shilling in January?

Really good summary. Van Hecke's progress is a big plus.
I think Gross is shattered so its not surprising.

This place is unbelievable at times. I will not slag off our players. They are young and will make errors in judgement. To say goodnight is not good enough just by a ten minute cameo here and there, just shows the level of intelligence by some of our so called JCLs supporters. A few results have gone against us, as in, two shit teams have shut up shop so we've only managed a draw. We are putting out kids who are 18 and 19 years of age for christs sake.....think how good they will be at 21?
I am enjoying this brand of football. yes, we could HAVE made a different choice with a pass....but I'd rather watch us v everton than exeter, or v fulham rather than shrewsbury.
Be thankful for where we are. If you don't like it, go back to supporting the 'big' clubs

We are sixth in the premier league at time of writing

Terrible performance and relying on a Young OG to draw to Everton, jesus

If he starts Lallana and Milner next game then he's a clown
Clearly didn't watch the same game as me.
We dominated from the get go and if VAR hadn't got it wrong yet again then we'd have probably taken all 3 points.
Any Dyche team is hard to break down so we did extremely well with our possession stats and also preventing them catching us on the break.
Our goal was no more fluky than theirs.
Lallana is only ever going to be a 45min player and Milner wasn't great but we have no Estupinan, Lamptey or March so how do you suggest we fill that gap?
Terrible performance? I think not.

Adingra and Veltman need to pass the ball forwards - almost everything that goes down the right comes back to the half way line.
Adingra was in acres of space quite a few times in the second half and wasn’t played in by Gross or Veltman, often the same for Buonanotte in other games seems to be a lack of trust

Don't come on here with your sensible, well-balanced observations. I want an escaped goat and a 'De Zerbi in or out' poll. :giggle:
