Tim Cahills brother was convicted for GBH, and has just been sent down for 6 years. So Tim thought he'd do a "handcuff" celebration for his goal yesterday, to dedicate the goal to his violent criminal thug of a brother. Everton are fine with this - the spokesman saying:

"Goal celebrations are a personal matter and up to the player to decide. No-one dictates what the player can do as long as he stays within the laws of the game and as long as it doesn't result in a caution. He is a very articulate young man and will have weighed up the pros and cons and decided to do it because it was a personal and emotional matter. I am sure Tim was fully aware that some people would not be in favour of what he did before he did it."

Cahills clearly an idiot, but perhaps that spokesman could have picked his words better.

:lolol:

Did his brother definately do it? Did he have a record of violence? Was it a one off? Is he now paying his debt to society?Does it stop him being Cahills brother? Does it stop Cahill loving him as a brother? Should he not send him christmas and birthday cards now?

He's asking a small child in the crowd to pick which hand the shiny penny is in before magically producing it from behind the lad's ear, placing it in his tiny outstrecthed palm and saying, as he pats him on the head: "Go and buy yourself and ice-cream, son".

Don't see the problem. Cahill is just showing his support for his brother. If Joey Barton had celebrated by pretending to swing an axe on the other hand then he'd be a twat. Double standards? You bet your ass.

Right or wrong it is pretty stupid - he's CELEBRATING, he's got a smile on his face while doing it! Strange.

On MOTD last night I thought he was actually crying, I see why now ..

He was crying Ray Charles? Is that his brother's name?

He was crying Ray Charles would be a pretty stupid name and worth a stab at humour.

However; the assertion to someone that thought he was smiling when he was in fact crying, and using the comparison that to have not seen that that person must have been as blind as the late lamented R&B star, who was in fact BLIND, is entirely reasonable.

Well basing it entirely on the picture in this thread he doesn't look like he is crying and if he was then that is both pathetic and funny because of his crying face.

Your first sentence doesn't make any sense I am afraid.
