...from the original 10.

A Premier League statement said: "Everton FC appealed the sanction imposed against it on nine grounds, each of which related to the sanction rather than the fact of the breach, which the club admitted.

"Two of those nine grounds were upheld by the Appeal Board, which has substituted the original points deduction of 10 for six."

Why spend ages to decide a punishment then crumble. Poor from the FA.

They have another deduction hanging over them though don’t they?

Also how does 2/9 equate to 4/10 - spineless.

They seem to expect no penalty at all for cheating. 6 points now and then another 6 point deduction. They will still stay up.

Was thinking on Saturday there is nothing really to like about Everton.

Sean Dyche and his agricultural style of football
Dominic Calvert Lewin
That f***ing chant that goes WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Forget FFP the ban should be increased based on the above IMO.
How can you miss out Jordan Pickford from your list?

The justification for awarding that sanction should have been watertight.

Now every other team sanctioned will throw the kitchen sink at appeals. And how is this going to work when you need to work out what division a team need to be in and, for example, the sanction for Man City's guilty 115 charges are all being reviewed on appeal. It took the appeal board months to review Everton's 1 charge. How long will it take when there are many more breaches?

A mess.

At least Luton know what they have to do

They still haven’t won a PL game since 16th Dec so a fat lot of good it will do them in the long run unless they start winning matches - they could drop to 17th again quite easily (the Bees are a game in hand and may hopefully take a point today to go back above them ).

And they should be deducted another 10 points just for being ‘absolute twats‘ (as hkfc calls them above)

Really annoying from the FA - hopefully they won’t be so lenient for the second FFP breach they’re facing.

City will get a 60 point deduction, reduced to minus 10 on appeal...so they'll win the EPL.

The second points deduction would be added this season I believe?
