Bobby Moore - the only really famous person I have met. Total gentleman, brilliant footballer, and just a top top person. John Terry and the rest you are not worthy..........

Dick Knight. Doesn't matter who you are, he's got time for you and will talk on Albion matters, at length and completely without discretion, for as long as it takes for you to finally shake the bugger off!

this. met him after the spurs match, actually felt a bit rude at moving on in the end. legend

Chris Evans - met him at the Royal Wedding, an all round great guy who loved to chat.
Jonathan Ross - Was with his kids but still made time for a photo, seemed really happy.

About 5 or six years ago me and my mate were sitting outside harry ramsdens by the pier noshing a cod and chips and my mate look up and said f*** me theirs Brian Wilson, he came and sat down right next to us, looked well out of it but was happily chatting away about his music and the beach boys and the 2 minders with him were nice guys to.
He pre-dates the celeb culture.

Way back in the sixties, I knew someone who was involved in booking bands for gigs at Oxford University. He had a phone number that had been given to him as a route towards booking the Beach Boys. One call ... and Brian Wilson answered. "Sounds good", he said. "I'll have to ask the others, though". Next day, they were confirmed.

Try booking a headline band these days. It'll be different.

Working early one Sunday morning, the manager of The Clifton pub in St Johns Wood said he was owed a bottle of vodka by a customer. The customer duly walked in with a replacement Absolut Blue and we all sat down and had a pot of tea and a bloody good laugh. 30 mins later the customer went and the manager said I played it really cool. Alas I didn't realise I was chatting to Russell Brand and I have to say he's a fine fella.

Oh, and it's a great pub too. Plenty of celebs visit almost daily.
On the day my client bought the pub, I asked if anyone was barred. He said there's just one person. Pete Docherty. I asked why he's barred and he said it just because he's "Generally just a complete f*ing twat."

Have met all the members of Madness. All sound blokes. Excuse the pun but after a few drinks they are quite literally mad.

Ronnie Biggs. In his later years so poor bloke couldn't speak. Total gentleman though.

I was once in the bar at Sussex University, on a very cold winter evening, when who should walk in but Fenella Fielding, who was performing at the Gardner Arts Centre. It was a dramatic, big entrance, that had everyone turning their heads towards her. She walked up to the bar, looked the barman straight in the eye and said - in that delicious, posh, husky voice ... "Christ! It's f***ing freezing tonight".

Exactly how people expected her to be. Marvellous.

Met the Chuckle Brothers on Yarmouth Pier when I was like, 10. Told them my name was Jamie and they started singing some song about Jamie Redknapp. Absolute heroes.

Grant from Feeder plus every other Feeder member, and every Brighton and Swansea player.

All nice guys who have total decication for their fans, just like I thought when listening to them in interviews.

I'm going to start with Liam Gallagher. I met him in the Hard Rock hotel in Vegas at about 3am (10 years ago). I was pretty smashed so went up for a chat (not many people around to be honest) and he was exactly as you seem him the media. Exactly. I was sort of impressed.

I've heard good stuff about Noel, Grant from Feeder told me he has his phone number, which he got while working with him on the Ivor Novello Awards judging panel saying he was a nice guy. Always makes me laugh in interviews.

A few years ago I was on a 3 day residential training course near Woburn and the World Golf Championship was on, and a few of the pro's were in the same Hotel as us - one day at breakfast we saw Nick Faldo sitting on his own over his bacon and eggs (he was the Worlds Number One Golfer at the time).

My friend went over to him and asked if he could talk to him about an opportunity that his son had been given to join the PGA Tour - we all thought that he'd be given short shrift. Nick welcomed him to his table, sat him down, ordered more coffee and talked to him for about 20 mins, openly and friendly - and was apparently very helpful.

His son chose not to join the PGA Tour though!
