I played in the same junior team as Andrew Cole, He once scored 11 goals in a match that we won 16 - 0. He was a miserable git who didn't speak to many of us but was clearly destined for a professional career.

Katie Price, many moons ago, before the silicon, I actually pulled her- not sex just a snog

Me too...not snog but knew..she was in the Park View a lot as she was seeing a lad who played for the pub team.

I well remember her first appearance on page three and how all the regulars were amazed because she seemed like such a nice quiet girl.

Kate was a really nice girl with a great sense of humour.Really understated.
She had a lot of shit thrown at her from various men,and it would never surprise me if she ends up with a nice lady friend.
She's alright,and I've known her for a long,long time.

Oh...and Katie Melua.

She used to stand outside that handbag shop next to Churchill sq with her little duffle coat on,and her guitar, busking.

You could tell she was destined for bigger things.

Beat this : not only did i meet David Bowie and chat with him and his band for about an hour in the dressing room at the Assembly Hall Worthing in May 1972 (just about 6 weeks before Ziggy came out, and he made it really big), but he pulled me up on stage during the encore, gave me his guitar, and I played along for a bit with the band while he did a crowd-surf, or at least tried to....only about 200 people there. 50p to get in, i recall......yet within 6 months he had sold out the Carnegie Hall.....

Plus, he also offered me and my girlfriend a lift home in his battered old Jag. We had to decline as our pushbikes were out the back !

Good job I didn't know back then that was going to be the highlight of my life......

before they were infamous, was at school (same year/classes) with 3 of the accused murderers of Stephen Lawrence.

On a happier note, current shadow chancellor and former home secretary Alan Johnson was at my wedding last year.

Tun Wells
Nick Knowles was in my indoor 5-a-side team in Tun Wells. Also thanks to The Forum live music venue in TW I've met/paid/got riders for etc. the likes of most bands who did the toilet tour from 1989-present. Including, Greenday, Oasis, Dodgy, Stereophonics, Muse, Doves, Coldplay, Mumford & Sons etc etc. Oh yeah, also Paul Weller was there with Ocean Colour Scene, and, the very generous, and actually interesting, Steve Davis came to see a band called Mumm-Ra who split shortly after!

I used to work with the lead singer from Turin Brakes. I'm not really into music these days - but I knew him then as Oliver Knights - I assume he is called the same. He used to enter data into some software I wrote. He wouldn't remember me, but I know people who keep in touch.

I had a pint with Craig Doyle a couple of times before he was famous, he was working with an ex-colleague but I have no idea what he was doing then.

Not me - but a lovely one. A company I used to work for - bought another and a few of the staff there had been there for years. They used to tell me about the ex-member of staff who went on to become extremely famous in the 70s.

I understand he was the bloke who attempted to kidnap Princess Anne.

I also worked somewhere where they had a small studio in the mid 90s that used to knock stuff out in the early days of cable/satellite television.

.. and also had to pop into MTV quite alot as part of the job - which basically consisted of carrying boxes.

So saw a few "unknown" presenters starting their careers - Davina and Graham Norton spring to mind.

Our Norman used to be married to a friend of my Dads. He was famous as being an ex-member of the House Martins, but not the household name he is now. I didn't "meet" him - but would often serve him with petrol. Didn't recognise him until I read the name on his cash card.

Lesley Manville was in the year below me at school.

I was trying to think of her name yesterday...I was in same class at primary school (St Andrews, George Street) with her...and we were both
in school choir..

Have known MC Darrison for years, but not sure how famous he is, as DnB not really my sort of music.
