Our trampoline is dug into the ground at the end of the lawn. A couple of years ago I was mowing the lawn and "clipped" the green trampoline covers, shredding the outer fabric and exposing a significant chunk of the white cushioning underneath - about 6 inches square. When she eventually noticed a month or two later, she assumed the foxes had ripped at it. Every now and then when we are in the garden, she still refers to it as a problem caused by those pesky foxes, and every time I have a quiet chuckle to myself.

It's not that much effort for the easy stuff, I'm doing it as well, haven't done casino stuff so stuck to sports and doing NCO's and taking up the email offers. I have 3 sets of accounts though so x3 the returns.

I'm over 3k up in the 15 months I've been doing it. I keep 1k as a float and have drunk the rest. Haven't done anything since the lockdown as nothing to really bet on!

Sorry for the derailment....

As you were.

I genuinely love hearing stories like yours. I was surprised how quickly I got a bit bored with MB, perhaps greed also played a part. I found I could make money on certain types of football bets, and on some horses, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, due to the risk. I have an entirely separate bank account set up for all forms of betting, so I know where I stand at any one time. I emptied out all my account balances with exchange and bookies when covid came, as briefly I found myself placing dumb bets on obscure events and losing. I’ll resume when I think these strange sporting conditions have settled down.

It could have been worse, for a tale of pain and sorrow when the beans WERE spilled, you only have to go to the Fireman Dan Thread... :lolol:

Still the funniest ever NSC thread ... Fireman Dan disappeared off here shortly after, I can't think why.

(oh yes, I've cut through the lead of the hedge trimmer too - I told the missus though)

Separate thread but hope you don't mind about the Sussex/Australians Game resume, Archer was seriously fast - Larwood and Archer wouldn't be a fun experience even for Trumper and Bradman?

I got the electric hedgetrimmer out today to have a bit of a hack at some trees and bushes in the garden, whilst the missus pruned the roses. I was almost done, but high up on the stepladder, I took a swipe at a branch that was a little out of reach. The flex on the hedgetrimmer kind of flicked up, and yup, I cut straight through it. Days gone by I'd have probably been toasted on the spot, but all that happened is that it cut out immediately (obvs). Seeing the now-dangling flex, I gathered it up, scuttled down the ladder, wrapped it round the trimmer and said "that'll do for now", before swiftly packing it away in the shed before she could see. I'll sort it out later.

Its not THAT big a deal in the great scheme of things, she would hardly have gone ape. The only thing is - I did EXACTLY the same around this time last year, and had to repair the flex, which she knows about. Having done it again today though, she could, and would, use my hapless goonery against me. Forever. I speak as someone typing on his 3rd laptop, after I slopped red wine over 2 previous ones destroying them (in the space of 3 weeks) a couple of years ago. I've done it to this one as well a bit, but thus far its survived, albeit with a slightly sticky spacebar.

She doesn't NEED to know these things, and on the whole, its just better she doesn't. Anyone else had some minor mishaps they've kept to themselves ?

Let's face it. You're a bit of a ****, aren't you?

Like the rest of us  :lolol:

I was outbid on a Tuk Tuk, no problem there I hear you say. Now this didn't need to be communicated to Mrs OW but it was a moment, you've had a couple of beers, you see a product and you think, "You know, that'd work here and it'd be a laugh" .... and it's only £??, and you BID. When it says "YOU ARE THE HIGHEST BIDDER" it's that moment, you know it, you sober up reasonably quickly and start to think not how you'd use it but where and how quickly you could get rid of it. Never have I been so happy to be outbid, and yes, that was one of the longest 30 minutes or so of my life!

Left my brothers stag in Barcelona and took an internal flight to Ibiza to meet up with some friends for We Love Sundays at Space. :rave: Didn't want to complicate matters. Couldn't get away with that now with the family group find my i-phone

Hiding something from the female species tends to backfire at some point , they seem to be blessed with a photo graphic memory and even worse for us chaps said memory is far better equipped to find out what us chaps would have preferred them to forget .

As someone has already said confess early and save on worrying if she'll ever find out you've tried on her underwear.

Thought this post deserved a bounce.
