Even Leeds are not going to take the maximum allocation when they visit

If Leeds are snubbing our expensive ESL tickets (aka S1A + S1B) who will want them?

Without these, there will be about 2000 for them, which is a lot less than last year when they took the whole south stand.

I know this because block S1A is now on sale for us and this link only mentions the cheaper £28 tickets.

Evening kick off, on Sky etc.

They'd bring the whole lot if a Sat game and no Sky.

Last season was an evening KO on Sky and it didn't stop them bringing 2,361 fans.

Work network problem causing an 8 min double post there. Sorry.

The Away tickets for the East Stand are too expensive end of.

I would much prefer the club to charge £28 for all away tickets, having two prices seems a bit of a joke as the view from the side really isnt that much better, and most away fans want to be behind the goal anyway.

<whispers> I don't think so... if you get in quick, you might have a scoop there </whispers>

I remember Martin Perry saying that one reason for providing good facilities for away fans is so that, when the fixture list comes out, they put Albion away in their diary as one away trip they plan to attend. Then we're guaranteed revenue and atmosphere.

So the non-sellouts at the moment must be causing a little bit of concern at the Club.

Not if we keep selling most of the tickets they send back to Albion fans. That's not an option at most places that we visit which aren't ever near to selling out.

I suspect that a lot of fans will not return, having ticked off the new ground on their list, especially when kick off times are not the standard Sat 3pm.

Ticket prices rarely go down. Really disappointing our away ticket price structure.

Needs a rethink

How expensive are the adjacent home seats? I can't imagine the club giving away fans a subsidy in comparison to home fans.

^Agreed^ the new ground factor is not to be underestimated.

I like the idea of encouraging plenty of away fans - it generates more matchday (non-ticket) revenue for the club and also knock-on revenue for the wider community - the more cash the club attracts to the area through away days for fans, the more the club will be supported by the local business community and the council...
It also helps create a good atmosphere.

It was a Friday evening and on Sky last season.

True, however it was a new stadium then, many away fans have now been so the novelty factor isn't there as much.

The prices won't have helped, however that's only part of the cost for away fans (travel mainly).

People were bemoaning how only a couple of away game this season are in the south and the rest require a long trip.

The flip side of that is, for most teams, we're a long trip away whereas they have a number of decent teams/ground within a much shorter distance that they can visit

Looks like only Palace will sell it out this season.
