Our season is effectively over Welbeck may add a couple more goals if that why not play Evan in our team and get him scoring? Start Evan for a few games give him 60 minutes until he’s back to peak fitness and rotate with Welbeck.

We’ve got Welbeck, JP and Rutter, who can all play the nine, with Gruda and Gomez able to step in at ten. Evan’s not in form, and hasn’t been for a year. We’ve found a loan with a team who have very limited number nine options and a manager who knows Evan.

He gets game time and confidence rebuilt, we get the player back next season. This is the best possible solution. At present, I don’t believe that Evan is a better option than one of Danny, JP or Rutter. Hopefully the player we get back for pre-season will be, and will be able to stake a claim for game time on merit.

Too many will jump on both the player and the manager’s back if Evan plays instead of Danny and the goals don’t come. That’s why he’s going out on loan, it’s the right decision.

Every possible opinion has been common knowledge on here
Including the expectation of after-timing, whatever the outcome.

If there has been a fallout, I presume it wasn't nuclear, or Ferguson wouldn't have featured yesterday.
Well, I guess it was the last chance to put him in the shop window before it closes.
This saga is one of the strangest I can recall - letting one of our two strikers go with no proper backup, but, hey, if he is going to keep setting up like yesterday then the forwards might as well take out their deck chairs and have a fag on the half way line as the ball isn’t going to get that far up the pitch.

Did you watch any of our games whilst Welbeck was out? Joao Pedro cannot lead the line. Rutter is similar. There's a reason they (and the team) play better when Welbeck plays.

I only hope this late loan out for Ferguson means we're bringing someone in, but I doubt it. Bloom & Barber hate buying in the Jan window, and we would be negotiating from a position of weakness so would end up having to pay even more over the odds.

Yup. I might as well play up top if the only choice is Joao Pedro and both he and Rutter are clearly much better playing deeper and slightly wider.

This is important.
Let’s do a bit of reading between the lines and guess that Fab hasn’t handled Enciso and Ferguson, which seems fair. And that he’s dropped Minteh, Ayari and Baleba for disciplinary reasons.
Bit of worst case scenario but also quite likely.
How does that look? How do we have five (5!!!!) of our best young players playing up?
That’s seems almost beyond ineptitude.
Well, yes, if it's true - but we don't know for certain what's going on (at least I don't).
However, our senior heads of Dunk, Welbz, Steele, Webster and Milner (anyone remember him?!) were supposedly superb at mentoring our young players so we'd avoid problems with the youngsters.
What are you doing, Milner, you have tons of time on your hands so sort it!! 😏

Lallana feels like a huge loss off the pitch.

This is the consequence of shocking squad planning. Many of us said in the summer we had bought way too many attacking players, and now we’re left loaning out our brightest prospects to teams in the same division instead of developing them at the club.

With Ferguson, we’ll either be left short up front if Welbeck gets injured (neither JP or GR are #9s), or we’ll bring in a replacement which will just exacerbate our squad imbalance come the summer.

We’ll end up selling Enciso, Buonanotte, and Ferguson for far less than their full potential as they won’t want to stick around.

If it has to happen, with regards to this I would love to see some forward thinking... We loan Evan out to get him ready for next season, we bring in someone else, and then in the summer we have two strikers (Evan & new player) raring to go and ready to gradually take the reigns from an aging Danny Welbeck. I wont hold my breath though...

I love the fact that people think, on the basis of his failure to f*** anything up during a cameo yesterday, that Fergy is the next Thierry Henri.
For flash-in-the-pans that for five minutes looked like they would be world beaters, I give you Rohan Ince.

I am not saying Fergy is shite. I am saying there is no evidence he can recapture the form of over a year ago. Yet.

I am also saying that blaming Fab for not picking a player who could not get into RDZ's team is a bit queer.
RDZ did not pick Fergy for the second half of last season
One can only assume this suggests that Fergy has an awful knack of falling out with managers.
That's two who won't play him.
I can only assume the boy is unhinged.

Or maybe (I know this is a ridiculous suggestion) he has been injured and/or unwell?
No, absurd suggestion. Laughable.
I'll get me coat.

First time in months I saw him run around yesterday. Looked really spritely. Such a coincidence he's fit and ready to go right at the end of the window.

We could be made to look really stupid with this one.
We're already looking not too bright - binning off South Americans and spaffing £200M to replace them with players from the Championship, SPL, PL2 and the Eredivise! It may be a long-term strategy, but it ain't looking great at the moment (and hasn't for a while, regardless of yesterday's demolition).
At least the door is open for Ferguson (and Buonanotte and Enciso) to come back in the summer.

Let’s hope he gets some decent minutes and bags a few goals between now and the end of the season.

He can then get a decent pre season back with us with a proper football manager who values him and continues his development when this clown we have in charge is hopefully long gone.
