Hasn’t traveled to Japan, still working his way back to fitness?
Four days ago he posted on Instagram that he was 'back out on the grass', so that is on his own - not involved in team training yet, let alone matches.

I'd like to think that every single element at the club that played a part in allowing Evan Ferguson to play on pain killer injections (at a point where the season was pretty dead) have left the club.
I’d hope we weren’t a club that did that, but don’t have any information one way or the other.

I have a memory about him playing on injections was mentioned somewhere when he was ruled out for the rest of the season, but can't find it so maybe its my mind ghost.I’d hope we weren’t a club that did that, but don’t have any information one way or the other.
He’s had surgery on his ankle. Takes time to repair before you can even consider adding the additional stress of professional sport through the ankle.Worryingly long absence
It is very common in football.Thought that was the preserve of the NFL and the NBA, not English football.
Is it? We were told months ago he wasn't going to be ready for the new season and he seems to be back out kicking a ball so all seems to be on course.Worryingly long absence
The glass half full way of looking at it is that his poor form was almost certainly due to carrying/playing through a serious injury and hopefully he’ll come back closer to the player we all think he can beWorryingly long absence
Before Evan got injured he seemed to invariably end up playing with his back to goal in central midfield due to an injury-stricken chronically mis-balanced team. Hopefully the team will re-balance in due course and he can get back to doing what he does bestThe glass half full way of looking at it is that his poor form was almost certainly due to carrying/playing through a serious injury and hopefully he’ll come back closer to the player we all think he can be
I remember him coming off the pitch in Amsterdam, absolutely furious, owing to being roughed up. Not sure we saw him again. Perhaps he was furious with more than the roughing up....I'd like to think that every single element at the club that played a part in allowing Evan Ferguson to play on pain killer injections (at a point where the season was pretty dead) have left the club.
Yes, unbelievable - and unbelievable for a very good reason!Injured and playing in the British Open golf today, unbelievable
This is it. Kane playing with a back injury looked very poor as well. I know players play with injuries all the time, but we had two (Ferguson and Pervis) who I think with hindsight should never have been playing (also true of Kane in the Euros!)As someone who's suffered the long-term fatigue effects of glandular fever (one/two out of ten seem to end up with them) I'm amazed Evan even made it to the bench at the tail end of 2003/beginning of 2024. Most days I decided against leaving bed for the 20 second trip to the bathroom to pour myself a glass of water.
Combine that with playing through the pain of an ancle injury, and I for one will be very lenient in my verdict of Ferguson's last season, and I can't wait to see him fully fit again come August!
Edit: Ok, maybe September/October.
