A colleague of mine in Ireland got very excited when we signed Evan. He told me this kid was going to be a star but at the time, I thought he was getting a bit excited about a local boy signing for a Premier League team.

He told me his son is the same age as Evan and used to play against him in youth football. Always stood out as being a talent but also as a very well grounded kid. From this video it seems like he still is.

If he continues to improve which I think is likely , he could get 18- 20 goals next season if playing regularly. At his age that would put him in the £75m + price bracket !

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
The bloke is crap, terrible touch. All of his finishes have been lucky. He is slow, no idea what he is doing and I've heard he is a nightmare to manage on and off the pitch. Always in the pub. And likes a fag or 30 a day.

"Big" clubs should stay well clear.

Does that cover it?
And he's got a broken leg that will never heal.

If Tony received an offer of £75m now or next season, do you think he would be remotely tempted to sell?

20 goals next season would have him pushing £150m I reckon.

If his development continues at this pace, he could be a rare generational talent in the Kane, Haaland, Mbappe category.

Or he could end up in the Jeffers, Smith group

I think to be worth more than £75m he would need to do as well the following season to show it wasn’t a one off . 2 seasons of 20 goals I agree would turn him into £100m player .

One of the most ‘us’ things is that we’ve all known we need a mobile yet strong forward with good link up play and eye for goal for years. Us fans have been arguing about whether we should buy one for £30m+ every season and meanwhile we ‘grow our own’ by signing this lad for tuppence and developing him. It’s peak Brighton.
We have bought one for £30m plus.

Pedro.

Oh go on then. If we have to keep him for at least 2 more seasons then I guess we will just have to put up with it.

You opening up a can of fish with that statement.
You might have a point. Technically, I suspect with the right equipment and depending on the size of the barn door, it might be possible to hit a cow's arse with it, rather than the other way around.

Although, that said, the more traditional banjo would be much easier to employ in the first instance.

Obviously, though, whatever we go with will open us to allegations of animal abuse and we wouldn't want PETA on our backs.

Thought he showed his quality the moment he came on. So strong. Loved that juggling that almost came off and led to a shot from someone else and the snap shot from the angle. He's going to be some player - even if he barely improves he'll be world class just through experience. If he improves dramatically he will be frighteningly good.

Every Albion fan should read that, so much technical meat on the bone, explaining EF’s wonderful football. Thank you.

Separately, RDZ comes out of it very well and he intimates he himself plans to be with us for a long time to come :)

:bloom:

“He is only 18 but we have to control the age because he seems to not be a normal 18,” insisted the Italian manager. “He is a great player, he is already a great player and I think he will become one of the best players, the best strikers in the Premier League. And I would like it if he can stay with us for a lot of years.”

It's insane how good he is. Rightly Moises and Mac are the centre of attention now, and Enciso's recent development has been startling, but this kid is utterly nuts. There is nobody, nobody, seeing him for the first time and not knowing his age that would think he's not in his twenties. His strength, his decision making, his maturity, his finishing, his touch. The guy is a freak.
