Just far enough away from LDC
Yeah, sometimes its because people get infuriated when their hearsay is met with reasonable counter-arguments.
Ok, I will put this one more time.

One person's reasonable counter argument is another person's conspiracy theory/wanton gainsay/ annoying disagreement

One person's conversation is another person's hearsay (which i know you and bozza have discussed at length previously)

You are correct. It could be glandular fever because the duration of its effects can vary hugely:

Another major symptom is feeling tired.[2] Headaches are common, and abdominal pains with nausea or vomiting sometimes also occur.[19] Symptoms most often disappear after about 2–4 weeks.[2][23] However, fatigue and a general feeling of being unwell (malaise) may sometimes last for months

@Han Solo is wrong on this occasion when he asserts that the one thing that can be ruled out (along with amputation) is glandular fever.

Unlikely that a club taking a player on short term loan would consider one recovering from glandular fever tho shirley

Ok, sorry. "Ruled out" is a perhaps too much.

Lets phrase it this way: it is more likely that Evan Ferguson was abducted by aliens than allowed to play through some virus we couldn't be arsed to test for (and therefore missed out on), five months after a global pandemic ended.

Quite.

So I am guessing that when Wham singed him they did a medical and found him to be healthy.
It has been a long time since he was 'allegedly' first ill.

My guess is he may or may not have been ill (both are possible) and that this may or may not have affected his play.
He may or may not be now still suffering the after-effects of having possibly been ill.

And there may or may not be other factors that may or may not have affected his form.

If you are saying that were Fergy infected with EVB (which causes mono, aka glandular fever) this would have been identified by the club doctor,
and this would have been factored into his rehabilitation.
And there is every chance this would have become public knowledge,
becuse there is no value in the club hiding an illness such as this and allowing everyone to speculate till red in the face.

So I think you are probably right.

However I also suspect that we shall never know the truth.
Unless, armed with the true facts, Lord Lucan rides into the Amex on Shergar to reveal all.

It seems like he's recently broken up with his girlfriend (who plays for Newhaven Ladies). Well after a couple of articles about them in The Irish Sun, they've unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted any photos of them together - think that's how you announce a break up these days! No idea if it will help him on the pitch or not.

Still in Brighton
Han Solo will always defend players (see Connelly first and Fergie second) and the manager of his first love (oh Graham)..... ad infinitum. It's both sweet and a tad monotonous sometimes but it's his.... thang. Don't know why it bothers people so. But please, for the love of God, score soon Evan. Just one off the arse will do (or bollock it in, a la Murray).

Didn't seem to help when he scored for us against Wolves though unfortunately. The floodgates didn't open!

I’m not sure what’s going on or happened but I do know this - it’s beyond any doubt that none of us have any real idea why young Evan isn’t really pulling up trees 🌳 in the way he did when he took to the PL (like a duck to water) and showed Aaron Connolly the true meaning of hype.

I don’t think the media comparison’s to Mbappe (around the time Ireland 🇮🇪 played France) did anyone any favours especially, you know, reality.

Perhaps 🤔 it’s no one thing but a multitude of smaller things… a pie chart of nominal decline in a world of (sucks air through teeth) fine margins.

Mindset is huge; an injury here, a goal drought there, a dodgy 10 pint kebab over the wall into a bush somewhere… a relationship ended, a mystery illness or two… a strange feeling of detachment… world class defenders learning to cope with your style… confidence sapping runs, punctuated by an array of ever more desperate 40 yard strikes… inspiring team talks from someone called Graham from a small town somewhere near Droitwich…

To be fair, it’s a wonder he’s not sacked it all off to live on a barge.

Poor kid.
