I was fully behind him to start with. Why wouldn’t you be if you are a fan.
First few games tested the patience from a performance perspective as although the results were ok we didn’t seem to have any control in games. (Maybe that was a carry over from the high possession RDZ era). However, every new manager takes time to implement their ideas unless you are David Moyes!
Then we had a run of games where we were poor and the results didn’t come. I was on the fence but relatively supportive as all teams go through a rough time.
Saturday’s game following the very disappointing performance against Everton has swung me towards Fab Out. However, no decision needed now. Wait until the summer and reassess then.
I’m a very positive fan usually, but the poor performances and lack of style of play, plus the insight into his communication style given by the videos, along with the strange formation on Saturday and the falling apart of the team under such direction have made me think Fab isn’t the man to take us forward.
I think it’s a pretty balanced view really.
Yeah this is exactly where I am.
I've been to allbut 3 games this season, and was fully behind him, with some reservations around consistency, up until the Palace game.
That level of non-performance in that game was unsettling and compounded all the little doubts I have had up to date.
Everton and Forest were just abysmal.
Playing Hinshelwood on his own in that formation was ludicrous.
I didn't expect anything from the game, as they are exactly the sort of team we struggle against.
But to just throw the game by gambling on "it's so crazy it might just work" tactics. inexcusable.

Just far enough away from LDC
Not sure I'm keen on the badge tugging, although I appreciate he'll just be doing as he's told by the photographer:

I'm not keen on any of it..mark my words, no good will come of this for us at all

The dull part of the south coast
We never gave him a chance. Good for him as he'll be getting gametime now.
He’s been injured, ill, out of form. If sending him out on loan to rediscover his potential for next season that’s fine and everyone benefits. Decisions like this are not made lightly and in my view I’ll trust the board on this one rather than NSCs’ finest experts.

I am perplexed how we get ourselves up for arsenal, utd and Ipswich in January but have 5 pony league performances round that (palace, west ham, Brentford, Everton and forest) and 3 disappointing ones before that (Southampton, Fulham, leicester)

Does it? Why did we reject the Mitoma bid then?
I suspect because we’ve made it perfectly clear he can join a top tier European team this summer. His agents would have been sounded out about that already a la Mac which looked organise pre World Cup.
People might fairly think why would Mitoma choose to stay here over all the money in Saudi . And I’d agree. However, if (as is likely the case) he and his agent know at least a handful of ‘bigger’ clubs are after him this summer then clearly 150k a week at one of those, competing for trophies at the highest level, is worth waiting for.

Good move for Evan but sends the message we are writing off the present season.
No it doesn’t. It says he’ll struggle for game time here, hence the loan move. Nothing more.

I mean a lot of us bemoan the fact that he's now playing for WHU under Potter, but I like to think of it
as a new opportunity for the bloke and a positive move for him. I hope he does well there and we can get him back firing for next
season with us.

Yes - according to lots of reports, he wants Champions League.

I’d have preferred to see him stay, but if we’re honest his performances haven’t been great & so even with his need for minutes he wouldn’t likely get much playing time here ahead of Welbeck, Pedro, Rutter. So if those stay fit, and Evan gets the minutes he needs at West Ham (regardless of how well he performs for them) that will put us in a better position for next season. Of course that idea crumbles if one or two of those get injured. It’s a gamble.
