He's already signed till 2026 though.
Yep, that contract was essentially him making the jump from youth wages to mens first team, but there has been talk of a revised longer contract offer to reflect how well he's done this season & to protect our position should teams come sniffing around for him... Might just be twitter nonsense but a few different journalists have now repeated it.

This Maguire joke is beginning to lose its appeal.
Although he isn't the best CB in the world he is pretty good at the shithousery elements of the game so I am actually glad he's not playing. Means the referee can run the game without too much interference, although that doesn't mean he'll get anything right.

I am sure Fernandes will make up for it.

Pascal could slot in there shirley? . . . an FA Cup Semi Final at Wemberlee is defo not the place for a youngster to make his debut.
He’s already made his debut. He’s played a couple of times from the bench in the EFL cup and made his full debut last season against West Brom in the FA Cup. Had a very good game until he was forced off injured early in the second half.

Agree it would be a big game for only his 4th senior appearance. Gross will start at right back.

"De Zerbi confirmed Evan Ferguson will miss the game after the Irishman picked up an ankle injury, but Albion have some great forward options in the Danny Welbeck, who scored Albion's equaliser, and the emerging Julio Enciso."

Is this new info, or have I not been paying attention?
That’s dated from Saturday when he also said that injuries normally need to be assessed a few days after, …I don’t think you can rule out a recovery, but it’s surely more likely he’ll miss the game ..pity for the lad more than anything

Nice of the club to appeal on Maguire's behalf but I can't see it being reversed.

At least we can give him a big round of applause when he takes to the pitch on Sunday.
