How come Denmark finish above Slovenia? Didn't they have the same results?
Just to confirm. Denmark and Slovenia are equal on all the head to head stats and both have the same disciplinary points (6 yellows no reds = 6 pts). So it goes to position in the European Qualifier rankings.

Just heard that it will be Netherlands. However if Slovenia are one of the best four 3rd placed teams, it will be the 3rd placed team from Group E.

England have played eight matches since defeating Malta 2-0 last November in Euro 2024 qualifying.

They've won two of them - against Bosnia-Herzegovina in a friendly and Serbia at Euro 2024.

Unconvincing.

I heard that they both had the same points total in the qualifiers, Denmark and Slovenia were in the same qualifying group, but the Danes had a better head-to-head record and that is why they are second in Group D.

Head to head comes first and they drew 1-1

You’ve scored as many goals as Scotland and we were shite and don’t have anywhere near the same talent of players either in Germany or who you left behind

" The easy half of the draw " ...The English never learn  already have one hand on the cup after a 0-0 draw with mighty Slovenia.
England made the final last time after a 0-0 draw v the mighty Scotland , and scoring just 2 goals in the group stage.
It doesn't mean anything. They then scored 8 goals in their next three games and were one penalty away from picking up the trophy.

I'm astonished that some England fans were applauding the players off after that (and the previous two games).

We could still play the 3rd place team from group D (Netherlands), group E (Romania Slovakia Belgium Ukraine), or group F (Türkiye Czechia Georgia). It depends on whether Czechia put out Hungary tomorrow.

To be fair its always difficult to breakdown an organised team that sticks to its task of getting behind the ball. The task is made more difficult though when you play so slowly and your passing is poor and your manager doesn't see it or that some players are just not working. Bellingham should have been off much earlier , same as Saka. Gallagher shouldn't have started. Thought Palmer showed a freshness and drive that was better than most. I would be quite happy for Kane to drop deeper , he can certainly pick a pass, as long as another forward (Watkins) is put in as his replacement. Mainoo must start....
