Along with the CL draw, not very helpful for England's chances of an extra place.
Or you could look at it that the West Ham & Arsenal matches are the key to the co-efficient. Win them - and England are pretty much guaranteed the extra place.

Kinda darkly ironic that getting knocked out by Roma could also have scuppered our chances of qualifying for Europe again this season.
EL is looking a real tall order. Can only hope.

Would be happy enough with conference, but EL is the best level for us imho

We'd get done easily in the CL, EL is competitive and a really good challenge.

I'd imagine in the conference there may be a few more games we'd be expected to win, where each game in EL could've gone either way.

Good point actually..

isn't it potentially Man City v Arsenal SF if they get through their QFs?

Not sure how far behind we are on this coefficient thing?

Maybe it's good that AC Milan meet Roma and Atalanta v Liverpool?
Italy should get one place, and the other is neck and neck between us and Germany. Their best teams against West Ham and Arsenal could cost us.

Not exactly, they had to play an additional 2 round of 32 games and beat Shakhtar Donetsk, then had to beat Villareal over 2 legs.
So we would have missed the trip to Rome, replaced by trips to Hamburg, Valencia (effectively), Lisbon and Liverpool. Bank balance would have been a shambles.

Why do so many people seem to be saying Arsenal have got the nightmare draw? Bayern aren't at their best and Arsenal are currently top of a stronger league. That one will be tight but I'd make Arsenal favourites. I fancy Arsenal to get through more than I do City.

I'm not sure how these points are awarded?, but just looked at the UEFA country coefficients

And whislt we are currently third in 23/24 with 15250 points, and Italy first with 17000

They have no teams in the CL left (I guessed points awarded for CL is higher? than EL or ECL)

And in EL they have Roma playing Milan and Atalanta playing Liverpool, so good chance they only have 1 club left by SF time and that in EL.

I wonder if we could still overtake Italy?

They’ve had the easiest group, the easiest last 16 draw and the easiest 1/4 final draw
I guess that's par for the course when you're the best team in the competition.

Much like Sheffield Utd have the hardest run in of all Premier League teams.

The quality of the teams left meant I don't mourn this draw too much, we've had our big days out, would prefer us now to see if we can get top 8 in league

Re the coefficients.
I was under the impression that with West Ham beating Frieburg we still had 5 teams in Europe as opposed to Germany now have 3.
This means that, although not showing as it is based on points being awarded for games won, England are favorites for that second spot in the table.

Arsenal play Luton, us and Bayern in an eight day period. Good chance they might rest a couple versus us. Also, if Villa get past Lille in the Conference quarters then their game away to us would be bang in the middle of their two semi final legs, again probably helping us a bit.
