On the basis that other Home Countries always appear to want England to lose, and JM in their squad, Poland 👍
I've never been able to relate to this stance. Wales, Scotland and N Ireland are Brighton to England's Man U or Real Madrid so I can completely appreciate why they'd want us to lose.

Come on Wales!

I find this more our bloke versus the whingeing, diving arsehole wilson. if he doesn't play, then it'll be the welsh. But if the bellend plays, then it'll be our bloke
Watch it, matey.

As the other home countries always use the ABE scenario, come on Poland.
You forget that one of the reasons they hate us is because we are so patronizing.

So it's little Wales all the way for me.

From a purely football point of view, why would anyone want Poland to qualify? I suppose seeing Moder play might hold some interest, except he doesn't even start for them. Besides, I can't remember the last time Poland played in a tournament and didn't stink the place out with the most dreary football imaginable. They have Lewandowski up front and he'd be worth watching, yet he barely gets a kick because the service is so shite.

Wales are stacked with vaguely interesting (if not quite top level) players - David Brooks, Harry Wilson, Dan James, Brennan Johnson, Ben Davies. Not world class but at least they'll go looking for goals on the big stage. I'd much rather see them there.

Exactly, H, the land of our fathers, not to mention Edward the Eagle, Ruth Madoc and John Cale.
Ah, Ruth Madoc.

Yum.

John Cale, though. Music for a New Society released on CD only a few years ago. Terrific album, as John Peel would have said.

But for true Welsh lovliness, I am going to post this wonderful track. The languid vocal. The backing vocal. The words. Calling @Gwylan

Wales got to the semis just two tournaments ago. Meanwhile, Poland have been the very definition of also-rans since the days of Zibi Boniek in 1982.

I think I want the Welsh to get through, but obviously I'm really not fussed.
tbf, when Wales lost to Portugal in 2016, Poland also played really well only losing in penalties to Portugal in quarters.
Beside that, you're spot on, we're really bad on the big stage.

It has to be Poland, if only for that splendid chap at Cardiff City a few years back.

Veins in the neck-a-pulsin’, waving a Croatian flag at us like a Whirling Dervish and hand signals on a par with Gareth Hunt.

I wish him luck.
I’d completely forgotten that prick.

and largely erased the game form my memory. Coming back to me now - 1-0 up through Dunk, then Stephens got a stupid red, and we ended up losing 2-1, with the (Sol Bamba?) winner about 3 yards offside.

Having lived here for 23 years I shall be supporting Wales, but I’ll only be watching once Dunk has been subbed off!
