Certainly a letdown for Netherlands fans. Still, it does mean Maatsen will feature, and in any case, Koopmeiners hasn't started since November 2023 and De Jong hasn't since September 2023.

Yes! I'll have to miss a couple of games due to work but will watch the vast majority of it.

For an extra layer of interest, throughout the tournament I'll be cooking a meal from each participant nation. Just 24 to get through so won't be quite as manic as the World Cup meals I did in 2022.

Robert Lewandowski ruled out of Sunday afternoon as well. Nearly all Poland's strikers are crocked at the moment.

I thought Poland v Holland was one of the picks of the opening round to watch.
