Gareth Southgate would make a front 3 comprising of prime R9, Messi and Ronaldo play dull football.

Turning this drivel off, just pray our fantastic individual talents can get us somewhere at the tournament

Possibly a red too. Slowed down i reckon that would look like assault.
He is nowhere near good enough, that kid.

White better get some minutes to show them how it’s done.

I actually like Grealish but i think he is a problem. He plays an utterly unique position at Villa and I'm just not sure how you get the best out of him in the English team. I'd probably be tempted to play Foden Mount Sterling/Sancho behind Kane.

First game, key players out, but they look like they have absolutely no idea what they are being asked to do.

I wouldn't fall into the trap of expecting anything other than a mundane half-paced performance. Friendlies on the eve of a tournament are training exercises, nobody is going to go in full-pelt risking injury.

I made the mistake of going to Wembley in 1998 for England vs Saudi Arabia in the last warm-up before the World Cup. 0-0, and the single most boring game I believe have ever seen in my life - rivalled only by that utter dreck vs Doncaster at Pissfield the year we finished 91st again.

I think come the proper stuff we'll do ok. So much talent going forward, just that back line that worries me.

Agreed. Fantastic turn of speed and the potential to cause untold damage. But once he's finally parked his car, where to you put him in the team?

Well taken given the angle, or am I just used to watching Albion miss chances like that? :lolol:
